largest animal

The title of "largest animal" is hard to fully define, as there are are new animals constantly being discovered in the outlands, with some of them growing to immense sizes. There are also the animals that aren't usually considered the largest, but can grow so much throughout their life that some rare exceptions can break records. ex: arctic serpent and Salanjur.

Largest Land Animal

The current record holder for largest land animal is the Colossal Sauropods of Tandonia, which is also the second largest known living animal, at an unimaginable 1700 feet long, and an immense height of 485 feet (147 meters) tall. These animals are very poorly understood however, and their maximum size in unknown. Other gigantic animals are the great sauropods of Panagon like the argentinosaurus, and many of the animals from Tandonia, and it is possible that even larger animals exist on Tandonia since a majority of the giant continent is unexplored.

Other Massive Land Animals

Some other notably gigantic land animals are Steppe mammoth, a giant species of mammoth with a height of 46 feet (14 meters), and the dire elephant, a giant species of elephant with a shoulder height of 40 feet (12.2 meters). There are also the giant serpentine creatures. These types of animals also don't die of old age, and will continuously grow throughout their lives, and some individuals can reach great sizes like the arctic serpent, a giant snake shaped mammal with an average adult length of 300 feet (91.4 meters), but have been recorded at lengths of up to 650 feet (198 meters) if they live long enough. There are also the great jungle snakes with an average length also of around 200 feet (61 meters) and the giant river constrictor with a length of 110 feet (33.5 meters). Another large animal is the Salanjur, a giant serpentine reptile which has an average length of 250 feet (76.2 meters). The arctic serpent is the largest land animal in the midlands.

Largest Ocean Animal

The largest ocean animal is the thalasssus, a bizarre creature native to the deep oceans that was only discovered relatively recently. The thalassus has an average length of 1500 feet (457 meters), and is the largest animal alive, despite it being shorter than the Colossal Sauropods it has more overall weight and mass.

Other Massive Ocean Animals

Some other gigantic sea monsters are the emperor whales, giant toothed whales which have an average length of 850 feet (259 meters) and were believed to be the largest living animal until the thalasssus was discovered. All sea animals that are larger than blue whales are classified as leviathans, and all leviathans are worth mentioning here. leviathans that haven't already been mentions are the great whale, a species of baleen whale that has a length of 700 feet (213 meters), krakens which are massive octopuses that measure 300 feet (91.4 meters) from the tip of one tentacle to the other. There are also sea dragons, massive reptilian ocean carnivores which are about 200 feet (61 meters) long, there are Sea Serpents, gigantic oceanic serpents which are on average 300 feet (91.5 meters) long, and dire whales, another giant baleen whale species which is also around 300 feet (91.4 meters) in length, although it is far heavier than the Sea Serpent.

Largest Living animals

The largest living animal is the Thalasssus, the second largest is the colossal sauropod, which is longer than the thalassus but their length is mostly neck and tail so they have overall less mass than the thalassus. The third largest living animal is the emperor whale, which was believed to be the largest living animal until the discovery of the thalasssus, which was discovered before the colossal sauropod.

Largest Living thing Ever

The largest living thing ever to exist was a specifically tall elder titan. The elder titans were immense godlike beings, they stood at and average of 8,500 feet (2590 meters) tall. Trees were like blades of grass to them and they were taller than some mountains. The tallest elder titan ever was 9,000 feet tall (2743 meters) tall, a good 500 feet (152.4 meters) taller than other colossal titans. There is one contender for largest ever living thing, the immense living mass that is currently in a semi-dormant state inside of the giant titan city of Labyrinthius. The current size of this being is not at all known and could be larger or smaller than the largest elder titans.
