Great Whale

Great whales are an absolutely colossal species of baleen whale, average out at an immense 700 feet in average length, making them some of the largest animals in all of Panthea. Great whales have a similar body shape to the smaller blue whale and possess grey/white skin.
Great Whales are common throughout the seas of the The Midlands and The Outlands, larger concentrations exist in the seas north of the The Southern Continents however.
Great whales are so large that it's been considered far too risky to attempt hunting them. A sufficiantly angered great whale has the raw power to sink all but the most heavily armoured warships, so only the most foolhardy hunters would even consider attempting to kill one. However, great whale bones can be incredibly valuable, and their bodies contain a large ammount of flammable oils which can be sold for a massive profit.

Great whales typically feed on large swarms of giant krill, but will sometimes eat entire schools of fish and even some large fish.
