Dire whales are massive baleen whales that live in the arctic ocean, in the frigid waters north of Arctus, and Drakka, amongst the polar islands.
Dire whales are colossal whales, being around 300 feet (91 meters) long on average. Dire whales are snow-white in colour and are shaped like humpback whales, but with relatively longer tails.
Attempts at hunting dire whales are rarely attempted by Humans, but Giants frequently hunt them, utilizing their great size and strength to hurl deadly harpoons at the great cetaceans.
