Madrane Empire
The Madrane Empire is the largest country on Espiria. It's start as a smaller city state did not hinder it from growing into a military powerhouse. The Great Espirian Mountains provide excellent defense against other Espirian nations, though also prove to be an equal deterrent to them. The Republic of Samaria has maintained independence because of the mountain range, adding fuel to the fire of Doru Madrane's rage. Long ago, as a symbol of the Madrane line, red maples were planted across the empire, and forests of black pine were planted for ritual temples. -
Republic of Samaria
The Republic of Samaria is a rich trade nation. Their southern border is constantly contested with The Madrane Empire on the warpath. Samaria's resources are partially consumed securing their southern border, but most of it is in improving the towns and cities as well as expanding their abundant trade routes. The countryside is full of colorful maple trees and beautiful vistas: All except the forest that encapsulates the scar left behind from the infection of an abyss. But the lands are the safest to traverse on all of Espiria and there are lots of opportunities for travel and adventure.
Blessings is a two day holiday celebrated by the peoples of many continents. On Espiria, there is a spectacular festival held on the second day in Emerald . It is often kicked off with a massive shower of samara fruit set to burst out and fly all over the city.
The festival is a brief chance for peoples across not only Espiria, but other continents as well, to come share cultural customs, seed business for the upcoming year, eat lots of food, and partake in fun competitions. In recent years, the competitions have gained some renown and are a draw, themselves.
With some colonists taking samara fruit to plant with them to Dracolia, the winds sometimes carry a hoard of them across the Heron Ocean back to Espiria. Because of the city of Onyx's location, and sometimes Ruby, it is in a prime spot to receive the hoard, often sparking an impromptu holiday - especially amongst children.
