Maxamilian Madrane, having gained significant power through inheritance and shrewd political maneuvers, began use of a personal militia to unite the city states of souther Espiria.

While many of the cities around Pax  and Karib agreed with the rhetoric Maxamilian was voicing, the majority of cities and villages did not support unification, especially in the Bas Peninsula. As he began winning battles and conquering cities, he was appointed a general and given vast supplies.   At the end of the conflict, as he returned to Pax a hero with his army, he faced little resistance placing himself as the head of this new nation. He deemed it the Madrane Empire, formally founding the nation on Blessings the following year.
