Bunbun Warren

The Bunbun Warren lies below ground level in the sinking city of Palimpsest, nestled between the Dwarven Settlements and the Kobold Nests.

Demographics

The Warren is the home to the Bunbun rabbit people, most of whom worship Brambleson, Prince of Rabbits. Although his worship is forbidden by the surface Humans, the Warren is far enough below ground level that it is unlikely Bramblites will be disturbed by the Nobility who enforce the worship of the Eight.

Government

The Warren is a community-based theocracy, with the Bramble Church using the divine magic of its acolytes (the "Tangle Tenders of the Berry") to provide the necessary food and water to keep the Warren running. The rules of the Warren therefore closely correspond to the tenets of the Bramble faith.

Guilds and Factions

The Bramble Church
The warren is ruled and maintained by the Bramble Church. The highest position in the Bramble Church is held by the Bramble Matriarch. Currently Easter Lindt, the Matriarch rules and reigns in the church and is highest authority on all matters of the Bramble faith.
There are three Brers in the Bramble Church, who have each been given a duty for one of the three main tenets of the Bramble faith:
The Brer of the Briar (currently Brer Bigwig Briar) oversees the Brambleknights: a group of Chevaliers and Knights who protect the Church and the Warren from danger.
The Brer of the Berry leads the Tangle Tenders, who Cultivate and Tend the Tangle and ensure everyone in the Warren is fed.
The Brer of the Rose (currently Brer Petallion Rosa) maintains the Petal Archive with his Curators and Archivists, who preserve the mythology and lore of the Church.  
Matriarchies of the Warren
The Tangle is said to be a massive record of all of the Brambleities in the Warren. The first sprout that grew Brambleson, the Prince of Rabbits is believed to be located at the centre of the Tangle. From that sprout, the first Matriarchs, progenitors of the three Brer families, are said to have been established. All other Warren Matriarchies are ultimately branches of one of these three main Matriarchies.
