Winnie Furr
Winnie Furr is the mother of the Brambleite oracle, Connie Furr. She lives in the Bunbun Warren and has "at least a dozen" children.

Winnie collects discarded items that have been thrown away by people in the higher parts of the sinking city. She is particularly fond of colourful belts, wrapping as many around herself as will fit on her tiny body.

In contrast to her husband, Winnie is more daring and adventurous. She works as a scout, patrolling the warren's perimeter for danger, which allows her to scour for objects discarded by the upper parts of the sinking city. The Furr residence is decorated with repurposed trinkets, but Winnie's particular passion is for brightly coloured belts, and she adorns herself with as many as possible.

As matriarch of the Furr residence, Winnie weilds considerable power and authority in the home, second only to the Brers of the Bramble Church. Despite this, she is often absent, prioritising scouting missions over domestic duties and leaving much of the child-rearing responsibilities to her husband, Warren. In practice, this means that the children are largely left to their own devices.
With so many children care for, Winnie and Warren take a "learn it once or don't learn it at all" approach to instruction. Each child receives a single lesson and is then left to figure things out for themselves, although if the task proves too dangerous, the parents may remove the child from the assignment. While the children enjoy plentiful food and comfort, their education is primarily supervised by the Bramble Church. Like most warren children, they attend school at the Petal Archive of the Rose, where they are indoctrinated in the Church's teachings by the archivists.
Given the limited amount of one-on-one time that Winnie and Warren have with each child, it is quite likely that neither of them have noticed that one of their daughters, Connie, has been absent from the Bunbun Warren for over two years.
