The Tangle

The Tangle is an allotment of briars and bramble bushes that provides food for the Bunbun Warren. It is owned and maintained by the Bramble Church, whose acolytes cast Daylight and Create Water to nourish the ground for growing.

History

It is thought by some that the twisting passages of the Tangle were once the mazes of Minotaur labyrinths before most of the Minotaurs disappeared. As well as explaining the bewildering geometry of the pathways, it would follow that the religious significance that the Bramble Church places on protection by briars could evolve from the labyrinth's supernatural instinct to guard its minotaurs.
