Logenthru

Historically, the leaders of this country have very little political power and are mostly deemed ineffectual leaders. They have spend most of history being under the “guardianship” of Peligora, leading to the derogatory nickname “The Pretend Commune.” This is not entirely a fair moniker, as their system of government has very little to do with communal living. Their current leader is Fflergant Gillette, a man who is constantly swearing by things. His promises are worth less than most pennies.   While their government and leadership are somewhat lackluster, Logenthru is home to some of the better minds of the Overlord world with regards to history, the arts, and even a few of the more esoteric and specialized scientific branches. It was the site of the first artificial portal, and is home to the greatest library on the whole planet.   Logenthru was one of the Seven Kingdoms, and actually used to encompass what is now Peligora. As has been previously stated, their traditional lack of leadership qualities lead to their takeover. Logenthru is too large for Peligora to simply absorb, and consists of too many diverse groups to be easily conformed to Peligora’s standard.   Also, they have prophets, which is enough to give anyone pause. Varios is home to most of the fakes. As far as those whose statements have actually shown foreknowledge of events, all of them were from Logenthru, leading to the theory that there is some kind of energy in the air or water that causes some kind of temporal effect. One of the more popular prophets is a man named Brooks Nibbi, who is not so much an accredited prophet as he is a dentist moonlighting as a prophet. This actually accounts for his popularity, because in maintaining his day job he insists he is not going to take advantage of his abilities and thus raises the credibility of what he says by quite a bit.   The heroic population fluctuates from generation to generation. Sometimes there are only a few insignificant heroes, and other times there are dozens of highly effective protectors of justice. Fudail O’Grady works out of this country, which raises the nation intelligence factor by quite a bit, and since it’s already the country with the second-highest average intelligence in the world this is a significant saying. His team is unique in being comprised of several down-to-earth people who eschew the spotlight. In addition, his secret base remains a secret. He’s the only hero in this generation to successfully take on Prazigal. The hero Ordland Celle works out of this country as well. His ego being slightly larger, he is perfectly willing to take the spotlight that Fudail avoids
