Varmrlogr Vík
Varmrlogr Vík, or Warm Bay, is a sheltered bay that forms a natural harbor on the southern coast of Skogheim. The bay is unusual in that its waters are significantly warmer than the surrounding ocean due to the presence of thermal vents. These vents release warm water into the bay, creating a microclimate that is more hospitable than the surrounding region.
The warmer waters of Varmrlogr Vík support a diverse range of marine life. The bay is home to a variety of fish, including cod, herring, and salmon. Dolphins and seals are also commonly seen in the bay, and there is even a chance of spotting a whale.
The climate around Varmrlogr Vík is relatively mild compared to other parts of Skogheim. The bay is sheltered from the harshest winter storms, and the warmer waters help to moderate the temperature. However, the weather can still be unpredictable, with fog and rain being common.
In the center of Varmrlogr Vík is a small, uninhabited island. The island is home to an active volcano, which periodically erupts and releases ash and lava into the bay.
