Fránnhellir

Fránnhellir, or Crystal Caverns, is a vast subterranean network of caves located within the Ormslíkifjall Mountains, near the western edge where the mountains meet the Dødeskógr forest. The caverns are renowned for their stunning crystal formations, which sparkle and shimmer in the darkness. These crystals are not only beautiful but also valuable, as some of them are rare and precious gems.
The climate within Fránnhellir is cool and damp, with a constant drip of water from the ceiling. The air is filled with the faint scent of minerals, and the walls of the caverns are covered in a layer of mold and fungus. Despite the harsh conditions, a few hardy plants and fungi have managed to survive in the caverns, growing in the cracks and crevices of the rock.
The caverns are home to a variety of creatures, including bats, spiders, and cave crickets. However, the most dangerous inhabitants of Fránnhellir are the tiny, evil dragon-like spectres that haunt the caverns. These creatures are drawn to the crystals, which they believe to be their property. The spectres will attempt to lead unwitting adventurers into traps and dangers, such as getting them lost in the maze of caverns or leading them to dangerous drop-offs.
