Dødeskógr

Dødeskógr, or Dead Forest, is a desolate and eerie woodland located to the west of the Ormslíkifjall Mountains. The forest is the site of an ancient battle, where a horde of dragons and their servants were defeated by a heroic army. According to legend, the dying dragons cursed the land with their final breaths, ensuring that nothing would grow where their blood fell.   The climate in Dødeskógr is harsh and unforgiving. The winters are long and cold, and the summers are short and cool. The forest is a barren wasteland, with twisted and gnarled trees that stand as silent sentinels. The ground is covered in a thick layer of ash and littered with the skeletal remains of the dragons and their servants, a grim reminder of the battle that took place here. The forest is often shrouded in fog, and the air is heavy with the scent of decay.   Despite its desolate appearance, Dødeskógr is not entirely devoid of life. The only signs of plant life are the occasional fungi that grow on the decaying trees. A few hardy creatures, such as wolves and ravens, can be found in the forest, drawn to the scattered remains of the fallen dragons. However, the forest is a dangerous place, and travelers are advised to avoid it.
