Jǫtunnfjall

Jǫtunnfjall, or Giant Mountain, is the tallest mountain range in Skogheim, earning its name from its towering peaks that seem to pierce the sky. Located on the western edge of Ulfrfjall and Vildrulfrskógr, this range marks where the continent begins to curve southward.   The climate in Jǫtunnfjall is harsh and unforgiving. The mountains are constantly exposed to strong winds and frequent storms, making them a challenging environment for both plants and animals. Temperatures at the peaks can drop well below freezing, even in the summer months.   The flora and fauna of Jǫtunnfjall are sparse, with only the hardiest species able to survive in these extreme conditions. Alpine flowers can be found blooming in sheltered areas during the brief summer months, but they are few and far between. The mountains are also home to a variety of coniferous trees, such as spruce and pine, which can be found growing in the lower elevations.   Wildlife in Jǫtunnfjall is equally sparse. The mountains are known to be a habitat for some of the most dangerous creatures in Skogheim, including bears, wolves, and even trolls. The harsh conditions of the mountains have made these creatures even more fierce and aggressive than their counterparts in other parts of the continent.
