Alazzar

Alazzar is the former second in command of Oakenfair and current member of The Abnormals.

Originally hailing from Itrix in Northern Alluron . Alazzar came from an aristocratic line, not in status but in magic. Many of Itrix can boast that they are descended from dragons, one of the key distinction between Dragonkin and their more populous Kobold cousins. However, there are fewer that can trace their line back so strongly and purely that they still boast the magic in their veins.

Alazzar made a name for himself as a magician and sorcerer, focusing on the more martial aspects with large dangerous spells for combat along with a dabbling in illusions and enchantment, abilities that would make him a dangerous politician and fighter. Disillusioned however with the weak state of the Itrix government, the many warring factions trying to decide what to do after the great fall of their floating citadels, Alazzar moved on, heading south as a wanderer, looking to explore the world beyond his small nation.

Eventually after many years of travel of the continent, he found himself in the human town of Oakenfair, in The Kingdom of Phosana. It would be here his fate forever changed. Upon being accosted by a Human citizen of the town, he was saved by the Captain of the Guard, a Tiefling named Control. This would be the beginnings of a lifelong partnership.

The two set out soon transforming the town into their own fortress, bringing the population under their heel and ruling with iron fists. Soon their town grew, giants, orcs, lizardfolk and more flooded into the town, establishing it as a haven for those who were dangerous and treated as outsiders.

After near twenty years of rule, Control had to go on a quest to save his dying wife, leaving the town in the capable hands of Alazzar and the lieutenant Hylax. Soon after he left however the town was attacked by hordes from the nearby Lasran Marshes, the battle was fierce and brutal, burning the town Alazzar had spent much of his life building. It was during this raid Alazzar and Hylax fought against the half-giant Malice. In their fight, Malice removed Alazzar's left arm, and left him for dead bleeding in the dirt.

Alazzar awoke much latter, through great pain cauterised his wound, and prayed forgiveness he didn't bleed out. He set off to try and find other survivors but found many caught and rounded up by The Phosanan Might, knowing he could not head either into the swamps or deeper into Phosana, he made his way to the coast, and boarded a boat to Almus.

It was in the city of Swordbreak he met Viscount Avellion Bereltar and began to help form the basis of the coup that would end the Dalry/Almus War. It was during his time in Swordbreak that he would be reunited with his former King, Control, and the adventuring party The Abnormals. After they concluded their business in Swordbreak, Alazzar went with the Abnormal's B-Team to lie low in Cypren with Alexander Garrington and wait for the rest of the team to reconnect.

In doing this he missed the reunion with Hylax and Hope, however he continued to look for ways to benefit his leige, looking into the mysterious figure Malice.

Alazzar fought with the B-team as The Bitter Ring attacked Wright Manor and killed Bernie Honeyblossom and Rattigan.
