Saxon Hills
Large range of hills running along the western part of the continent, between the central plains and the west coast.
Geography
The Saxon Hills run from the area southeast of Golden Lake down the western part of the continent, all the way tot he Regar Gap. In fact, this range is part of the same system that rises in Wessex and eastern Oceanside, but the hills tot he south are treated as a different range - or at least, a different region. The Saxon hills are old and worn down, and for the most part not terribly high, except in certain places. They are very rugged, for all that, full of deep gorges, winding rivers and lakes, broken mountain sides, all of it covered in forest. East of Elfheim, they rise into rough hills, scored with river valleys, heavily wooded, before reaching the highest peaks in the range, the Nachstein Mountains, which rise above 8 or 9000 feet in some places.
Fauna & Flora
Heavily wooded on the western face, with pine forests on the east. All manner of mountain creatures live there.
Natural Resources
Timber, grazing (especially in the east, where there are many alpine meadows), mining.
