Lenay
Lenay is located on a large peninsular on the western coast. It is completely occupied by the Kingdom of Lenay.
Geography
Lenay is divided into three main regions.
The Highlands are in the north, and are named for what they are. They are usually spit into two areas. The Upper Highlands are the northern tip of the peninsular, also known as Cape Dread, a rugged land of high, somewhat weatherbeaten mountains, deep valleys, glens and lochs. The Lower Highlands are the larger region to the south, where the highest (and newest) mountains are found. The Lanay Mountains are a spine through this part of the country, surrounded by foothills and moors on both sides of the mountains. The east and west of this area are very different, however - the western coast is wet, fertile, heavily wooded, and populated by a mix of old Lenics and other ethnic groups. Culturally, and in some ways geographically, it is more related to the Ermighian peninsular than to the rest of the highlands. The eastern side fo the mountains is rugged, drier, and sparsely populated.
The Ermighian Peninsular is attached to the Lower Highlands, extending to the west. It is geographically similar, but culturally distinct. It is bisected by the high mountains, and the areas near the sea tend to be very wet and heavily forested. Most of the peninsular is very wild, not heavily populated, and somewhat dangerous.
The Lowlands are not exactly low, except in the far south, but everything south of the mountains is called the Lowlands. The center is relatively high, with moors and hills runing down the center of the country. The west coast is a good country of rich soil and rolling hills, the most heavily populated (outside the cities) area in the country. The eastern shore (by the Viking Sea) is drier and less hospitable, a mix of moors and downs, and boggy lowlands. The far south is very low, swampy and marshy, near the city of Cinevia. This part of the country is very different from the rest, and relations are often tense.
Fauna & Flora
Highlands in the north - heather, bogs, some pine forests and such. Eastern shore tends to be like this - grass, bogs, some forestation, though not as dense. The west coast is very wet, and much of it is covered in dense forests.
Natural Resources
Everything, though timber, all kinds of mining, farming in the south, grazing (sheep and goats mainly) all through the country, fishing, peat and coal production are particularly important.
