Wingmar

The area bordering the Viking Sea on the north, as well as west of the sea, facing the open ocean. This is rough, mountains land, covered in pine woods, marked by fjords and gorges. THe people are strong and aggressive, a sea-faring group, who have made their living through raiding through much of their history.

History

Various groups lived here in the ancient times. Settled by Germanic groups in the years before the establishment of the kingdom, who settled mostly on the coasts nad fjords. By the time of the Kingdom's beginnings, they were established here. By the 400s, they were strong, and began to become dangerous, being sea-going people. They expanded over the next several hundred yearsm raiding throughout the region, and out along the coasts far to the south. Wingmar itself remained int heir control, a land of villages and towns, fields around the fjords and through the hills.
