The West

This is the area bordering the western sea, west of the Saxon Hills, north of the Kingdom. This includes Oceanside, Lenay, the Elfheim coast, Bayport, the Vi8king Sea, and the parts of Wingmar on the Viking Sea. (Northwestern Wingmar is generally considered its own region.) Troy and other areas in the Saxon Hills are sometimes lumped in with the West, though only loosely.

Geography

The geography is varied, though all close to the coast, so oriented to the sea. Lenay and Wingmar are very mountainous; Oceanside and Elfheim tend to be lower and flatter, though with hills on the borders. Bayport is in a valley surrounded by higher ground.

Varied.

Natural Resources

Maritime resources abound - fishing, salt, as well as trade on the sea. Much of the area is heavily forested. There are extensive mining operations in Lenay and parts of Wingmar. And much of the area is fertile farmland.
