Al Aben
Located on the Southern Ocean, the westernmost of the desert cities, connected directly to Grayhawk and Phoenix overland, and with a thriving sea trade to the west. This is the hub of trade in this part of the world. It is a very large port city, with a narrow beach and shelf by the sea, and hills beyond. The main part of the city is built on the side of a hill - a winding world of small houses and narrow streets. This is flanked by fortresses (and is itself something of a fortress) - with several large ornate buildings scattered among them. The city has tended to expand over time, and to incorporate a number of outlying settlements and fortresses, giving it a sprawling, somewhat patchwork aspect.
