Elven Enclave
This is a nation of elves living in the Saxon Hills.
Structure
A loose confederation of elves (mostly wood elves) living in the Saxon Hills, ruled by a prince and noble houses.
History
This is the remnants of the elven kingdoms that have occupied most fo the Northwest since before time. Elves held on to power in the Saxon Hills and Elfheim even after the destruction of the old elven hegemony, and the coming of humans, but found their power slowly eroding through the centuries. Humans came to these areas, some to settle, some to conquer, and the elves tended to prefer to withdraw from the affairs of men. Those who wished to engage did, and were absorbed into human culture, or destroyed when they tried to resist. The core fo the elves were able to remain, however, maintaining a traditional life and state in these hills.
Demography and Population
This is primarily a wood elf population, though half elves, humans, gnomes and even dwarves and goliaths cane be found here.
Territories
This is ancient elven territory; they have been here since before the ice age. They now retain control over most of the hills and woods east of the Nachtstein mountains, down to the coastal plains. They maintain influence over much of Elfheim, to this day, though it is usually a passive influence.
Military
They maintain soldiers to defend themselves, as this is a wilderness.
Foreign Relations
They tend to be isolationist, refusing to get involved in external trouble. They are benevolent to the Elfheim region, though, and will attempt to protect it if there are threats.
