Upper Sarloos Valley

The area along the Sarloos River from where it glowed out of the hills, down to where it is joined by the Vixen river is often called the Sarloos Valley. The Upper Sarloos Valley, or the Hegelburg valley, is the area from the hills to Hegelburg, more or less.

Geography

The river flows out of the hills northwest of Hegelburg. The Sarloos river is technically the southern of tywo rivers combining in this area - the other is called the Troll River. They combine, and flow through less dramatic terrain to the plains. This is still fairly hilly and rough.

Fauna & Flora

Hevily wooded in the hills and still forested on the upper plains, though flowing into open grassland as it passes Hegelburg.

Natural Resources

Good agricultural land, farming, cattle and sheep raising, some ponies and horses. Good rivers for milling. Not a lot of mineral wealth in the area.
