Prime Pantheon

The "True" Pantheon of eighteen gods. While most of these gods made the world of Genaeth before leaving the Midden Realms, several have replaced/overthrown the originals in the centuries that followed the Age of Creation. However, the overall structure remains mostly the same.   In addition to the gods, this is also the primary location for information on their Saints and mythologies.

Structure

The eighteen gods are broken into three factions; Caelan, Intran, and Baatan.   Each of the tribes has their own section of the multiverse to control. These are the Heavens for the Caelan, the Midden Moons for the Intran, and the Hells for the Baatan. Within each section, the gods have partitioned off their own realms landscapes where their servants and worshippers travel to after their deaths, as well as house their spiritual servants and own personal dwellings.

Mythology & Lore

It is said that, long before mortals existed, the first gods came to the world from a far-away place beyond the distant stars. Together, they tamed the Primordial Elemental chaos that presided there and forged a vast land. As time went on, the gods grew into different alliances, forming the Caeland and Baatan forces. From there, they began to war with each other for millennia, battling and dying only to return to life and start the cycle anew.   One day, a corrupt Baatan enacted a sin so great, it's name was struck from all histories. Now only known as the Antiviten, this god damned all their kin and stole from them the powers of rebirth. The Baatan and Caelan sides were forced to ally with one-another to combat both the treacherous Antiviten and renewed resistance from the now sentient Elementals. Eventually, they defeated both fronts, binding the Elementals into the Elemental Rings and casting the Antiviten into the deepest pit of the Baatan lands, shattering them as a result.    Now faced with smaller numbers and a lack of true immortality, the remaining gods forged a treaty. Known as the Celestial Concordat, both sides would work together to reshape the blasted lands, with each faction taking their own realm apart from the now mortal-only realm; the Caelan gods would ascend to their radiant Heavens, watching all others from above and ensuring the solar heart of the Sun continues to burn; the Baatan would return to their destroyed lands, now called the Hells, and reshape them as they saw fit; and the newly-formed Intran gods would reside atop their Moons, residing between the Caelan and Baatan and ensuring neither asserted too much control over the mortals upon Genaeth, the central world upon which the majority of mortals would live until their demises.
