Necrosen

Vile and corpulent, Necrosen is a blight on the cosmos: a being who seeks to interrupt the most primeval of cycles and establish all things as undead peons beneath his feet. Brutal and domineering, the Dead Lord opposes all forms of life and attempts constantly to corrupt it, either snuffing out it's light or replacing it with a cruel mockery of what it once was. All undead beings can be traced to Necrosen, and indeed he is considered the one true necromancer within Orbith: all others that have come since have taken their knowledge from him, in some way.

While less within his primary focus, Necrosen is also considered the prince of all demonkind, though you'll rarely find a demon willing to attest to that fact. The home of the demons, a collection of damned and corrupted planes known collectively as The Abyss, is a chaotic and kratocratic place. Numerous demon lords squabble and fight over influence and control, with many of the stronger individuals approaching the status of a lesser god. However, none can truly compare to Necrosen himself.

Holy Books & Codes

Codex Necromattakus: Said to be the culmination of Necrosen's knowledge of undeath and necromancy in written form, this Codex is a relic of unfathomable evil and power. Within it lie the secrets to lichdom, vampirism, and all other forms of undeath. While the "true" copy is closely guarded by Necrosen, numerous passages and pages have been given away or stolen over the centuries, and such a recovery is considered a priceless unholy reliquary.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

What few portrayals of Necrosen exist portray him as a vile, necrotic being of rot. He is always either mummy-like or bloated, with both forms being marked by numerous sores and patches of rotten-away skin. His limbs always end in bony claws, all the flesh scraped away by time. He intermittently has a pair of bony wings and a twisted skull of a face, though his forms rarely stay the same for long.

Body Features

Beyond the standard amount of necrosis and corruption, Necrosen is almost always pictured with his signature cudgel. Crafted from the skull and spinal chord of a solar that grew too proud, this item has become so suffused with necromantic power that it is considered just as much part of Necrosen as his grey skin or bony fingers. 

Mental characteristics

Gender Identity

While usually presented as male, Necrosen's gender had no real attachment to his character. Once undead, the gender of a creature has little effect on it's position or usage.

Intellectual Characteristics

The true intelligence of Necrosen is a matter of great debate among mortals and immortals alike. He is often portrayed just as bestial and brutish as most demons are, but has shown numerous instances of possessing above-average reasoning and tactics. He is smart enough to plot for centuries on end, and the wealth of necromantic knowledge he possesses has no equal in all the realms.

Morality & Philosophy

To Necrosen, the best world is one where the light of life is doused and all the realms are naught but cold desolation. He seeks to rule this kingdom of death, silent and serene as his endless armies of undead shamble aimlessly from place to place. He will do anything to attain this goal, and that includes toppling the heavens and slaughtering all creatures he sees beneath him (this usually includes everything that is not himself).
