Tyra

Considered one of the more impetuous and foolhardy of the Caelan gods, Tyra covers the domains of youth, passion, and bravery. She is the very concept of youthful courage and righteous fervor, with many a young person finding likeness and encouragement from her gospels. This influence even spreads into the adventuring field, and most temples of Tyra act as a common meeting place and launch-pad for up-and-coming warriors. Many a valiant hero either directly worships her, or has been influenced by her wiles in their earlier years.
Relating to her position as "Goddess of Passion", Tyra is considered to be goddess of love. While Elsana traditionally covers the realm of matrimony, Tyra holds sway over infatuation and similar emotions or drives. Furthering her almost-connection to Elsana is her domain over more graphic acts of "love", though Elsana's are more procreation-driven than Tyra's passionate influences.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Almost all tales portray Tyra as a young woman with youthful intensity and attitude. Some tales paint her as a young child, wearing clothes common to children and acting in a childish or brat-like nature. Others show her as a valiant warrior, about teen-age and clad only in simple armor and youth, usually wielding a radiant lance or sword. While the latter is far more common, it is very rare for Tyra to be shown wearing heavy clothing of any kind, be it armor or otherwise.

Body Features

The most constant aspect of Tyra's portrayals is certainly her youthful appearance. This varies from being a very young child to a barely-mature youth. Her appearance changes just as frequently, with many of her clergy painting this as her own choice to keep things ever-changing, but her constant spunk and impropriety anchors her throughout.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Tales surrounding Tyra often involve her going out of her way to solve some problem or injustice, overextending and requiring aid from another god to recover, while others show her dauntlessly challenging oppressors and subduing all opposition with little problem. Some show her acting childish and pursuing short-sighted goals with little to no forethought, while others paint her as reaching straight into the hearts of mortals and bringing forward their pure, unrelenting emotions. All in all, her actions are always shown as coming straight from her heart, with the outcomes being quite varied as a result.

Gender Identity

Most myths cast Tyra as a female, specifically a younger one. However, there are a number of tales in which her impetuous and rabble-rousing nature is seen more as a boyish attribute, and as such she is shown as a young boy. However, these tales are far from the most common.

Intellectual Characteristics

Due mostly to her passionate and stubborn nature, Tyra is prone to taking actions quickly and without much forethought. This naturally casts her as not the wisest god, a description fitting of her youthful appearance. While the extent of this spunky attitude varies from story to story, it is consistent enough for detractors to label it as outright stupidity, or for fables to play into it as a bad habit that children should avoid.

Morality & Philosophy

Believing in quick action and passionate feelings, Tyra believes in approaching all things in an emotional manner, as opposed to a thought-driven one. Her clergy are encouraged to follow their guts and emotions, and pursue any course their heart tells them to. This naturally causes many of them to get into trouble, but those who follow her know such things will occur and welcome them.

Social

Contacts & Relations

With personalities approaching the impetuosity of their patroness, the saints of Tyra each represent one aspect of her freedom loving, emotion driven nature.   Saint Margueritte: Matron saint of love and love-making, Saint Margueritte is a well-known saint across the whole of Genaeth. She is most often associated with the short-lasting, virile passions of youth, blessing young hearts with feelings and urges that shape their entire lives. It should be stated that, while most of her "followers" are young, she blesses any individual with compassion and drive should they please her. Detractors often call Margeritte's teachings base and vulgar, such insults have done little to slow her follower's spread and influence.   Saint Corella: Patroness saint of of elves and freedom, Corella is one of the ideal visions for an elf, and one-half of the prime saints who conjoined their power to form the lesser Elven pantheon. While her partner acts to represent the elves place as spirit guides, Corella represents their ideals of equality and beauty while living. She also considered the deity-queen of the elves for this reason, and still rules over the elven home-island of Patrimais.   Saint Orelrei: Orelrei is the saint of general youth and boundless hope. A birdfolk who is said to have learned flight earlier than any other, Saint Orelrei inspires those who shoot for the stars and believe in their ideals without faltering, powering their actions through hope and will. Her follower, bearing the spread wings used as her insignia, are recognized across Genaeth as saviors and symbols of hope, swooping in at the last moment to save those unfortunate souls who had no other chance for salvation.
