Military
The Military forces of Lesbos are made of, so they claim, willing enlisters, who join the ranks as a Naphtis. Members of families will often join up as a chance to provide better for their family, as well as defend their homeland.
Religion
While the Great Hellanic Pantheon is observed, and Theilas certainly receives worship as part of being a Sea based City State, the majority of worship is given to Maglefia. Lesbos upholds her views of beauty and the divine female form.

All Laws, Rules and matters of state are carried out by the Council of Archplearchos, taking two from each settlement under Lesbos. Lesbos currently has Ten Archplearchos within the Council.
This council deals with major matters that regard to the state, with the Navarch having final say. All other matters are dealt with by the leaders of the various towns and cities under Lesbos's domain. The Council meet at the shift of the tides, unless in times of utter necessity.
