Korin

Spread across mountains and forestry, the City state of Korin was once a powerful military force to be reckoned with. But as leadership changed, and the way of the Thinker was put forward, their military force reduced over time and let forth the best of their kind. Korin itself has recently begun looking into research for flying vessels, wishing to soar in their air like the eagles of old.
Leaders are chosen from Thinkers, brought together from Archon’s and commoner alike. When the previous leader dies, or showed a clear case of mental infirmity, they would bring together hopefuls and test their ability to solve puzzles, think strategy and prove their intellectual prowess. Most of all, they had to prove strength and belief of their voice too. The successor was then chosen by a council of elders, and named Archon Orator, their Lord Speaker.

Legislative Body
All Laws, Rules and matters of state are carried out by the Rousia, a council that consists of ten members, under the supervision of the Archon Orator. In matters of great importance, the Archon Orator will often order that all Archon's - that are not part of the Rousia - to join proceedings. The Rousia meet weekly to discuss matters of import, though this can become more frequent if matters of state require it.
All of the Laws and Rules must first be approved by the Archon Orator, who has final say and word on all matters, no matter the importance.

The Current Members of the Rousia of Korin are:

  • Archousa Helja Deepdelver of Korin (Dwarf, Female)
  • Archon Quarion Yaeldrin of Korin (Wood Elf, Male)
  • Archousa Chloros Bryennios of Aphi (Human, Female)
  • Archon Lucan Horineth of Aphi (Shadar Kai, Arren Cybattis)

  • Archon Paelias Floshem of Pithio (Wood Elf, Male)

  • Archousa Niobe Thanoto of Myre (Minotaur, Female)
  • Archousa Chryseos Xiphkas of Pharacus (Centaur, Female)
  • Archon Kreios Zafnas of Pharacus (Lizardfolk, Male)
Judicial Body
For matters of day to day necessity, trained soldiers do the work of guards, protecting the city and ensuring the law is obeyed. In times of war, Common Polis will often be drafted to take on the role of Frouros (Watchmen).

Lawbreakers will often be dealt with quickly and swiftly, being brought before a Judge. The Judges will often be three impartial elders, chosen from the local priesthood to undertake the laws and punish where necessary.
