WorldEmber Pledge 2022
For my first ever WorldEmber, I will try to spend my 10,000 words on creating and/or fleshing out some of my characters, particularly ones that are quite important to the story but are the "supporting cast" in the story I'm developing. This would be, for example, Ameada Angeleos, who is the mother of two of my main characters, or another important character's father and brother. As of now, there's about eleven characters in the world of Leanor I would like to discover more about, and I'll likely find more in this process.
Right now seems to be the right time to flesh out the supporting characters, because at this point the bare bones of the story and the main characters are in a good place, but the story could use some more interaction with other characters. To achieve this, I first obviously need the characters for it.
I will first focus on the side characters with the more important roles in the story and then work my way down to the smaller roles. I'll see how stressful this is going to be. As a choir person, the advent and christmas season all the way through new year's is quite a busy time, but if everything goes well, I should be able to put down the words.
If I feel like there are some things that are related to a certain character and are not yet put into articles, I will also do that. Those articles won't necessarily be character articles but for example items, locations or organizations. I'll link the characters here, and their respective articles will hopefully link to all the other important stuff related to them. This, I think, is important in order to understand the character's background and story.
This table contains the character articles I wrote during WorldEmber. You can check out my competition page here for the full list of my WorldEmber articles if you want.

This WorldEmber was my first one ever and I honestly had no idea what I was doing half the time. I did start pretty well with roughly 7,500 words in the first two weeks or so, but then December caught up with me and between concerts, christmas celebrations and doing stuff with friends and family I ended up with 2,500 words still unwritten and only three more days to write them. This seemed quite daunting, but I managed, and here I am, with just over 10,000 words. I did not know if I'd manage to write this many words, so I'm proud that I did. Over all, I think WorldEmber is a great challenge and I'm glad I entered it.
How's your first WorldEmber going so far? :D
Hi, first of all thanks for the like and comment. :) I'm having fun with WE, but unfortunately I don't have as much time to write as I would like. The family and choirs are keeping me pretty busy. How's your WE going?
Glad you're having fun with it! I'm doing well thanks :D I'm on track for juuuuust finishing in time
