King Uther invades Summerland because of his greed. It is a debacle: valuable mines are flooded, and strange faerie creatures harass Uther’s army, which also falls ill. Uther sues for peace, and King Cadwy accepts the title of a Count to let Uther save face. Uther claims a major triumph in adding another county to his Kingdom and withdraws from Summerland in haste.
