Gomeret

Population : Celtes païens ou chrétiens (Saint Asaph) Suzerain : Pellinore des Iles Vassal de : Personne Armée permanente : importante, 450 chevaliers au plus, et 500 fantassins quasi-fanatiques. Gomeret est la partie la plus riche de Cambrie, tant par ses champs que par ses pêcheries. Il y a 50 ans, le Roi Cunneda conduisit ici la tribu des Votadini et en expulsa les natifs irlandais. Le Roi Pellinore, dont certains disent qu'il est le "Meilleur Chevalier du Monde", gouverne son peuple avec justesse, mais est atteint d'une passion délirante : la chasse à la Bête Traquée, que seule sa famille peut voir. Il en délaisse souvent les affaires de son trône, et c'est ainsi que, par distraction, il a autorisé Maelgwyn, son maréchal, pour envahir Estregales.   Degannwy, la capitale, est construite sur un ancien oppidum. Bangor est une cité populeuse et assez riche, avec des collèges druidiques. Sinadon fut autrefois la place forte favorite de Macsen Wledig, l'empereur rebelle tant aimé des temps anciens, mais est tombée en décrépitude depuis.   Bangor Fawr: Castle guarding the crossing of the Meneii Straits, subject to Gomeret. It is a boat port. A famous monastery is here, overseen by Saint Deiniol. Degannwy: A great fortress in Gomeret, one of the most important castles of the King of Gomeret. Dinas Emrys: Built by the tyrant Vortigern on the slopes of Mount Snowdon, it has been rebuilt after Merlin tore it down. Once occupied by the forces of Aurelius Ambrosius, now a castle of the King of Gomeret. Sinadon: A sea port city guarded by a great stone castle. The castle was built by the Emperor Macsen Wledig in ages past. The city and the castle also guard the Meneii Straits, and are subject to the King of Gomeret.   Gomeret is a kingdom of six strong and warlike tribes, ruled in name by King Pellinore but due to his absence by other, less capable and more evil men.
Culture/Religion: Cymric/Pagan Not a Player Homeland Gomeret is the richest part of Cambria for both fields and flocks. Its residentss are extremely independent minded and resist King Arthur both before and after his invasion and conquest of their land. Places Degannwy, the capital city, is built inside an ancient hill fort. Bangor, a wealthy and populous city, is a center of monasticism. Sinadon [Caernavon] is once the favorite city of Macsen Wledig, the much-loved rebel emperor of ancient times, but has fallen on hard times since.
