Barracks of Nedev

The barracks provides a secondary defensive strongpoint to the town, and guards the river access to the port. The barracks houses 50 Watch and officers, with many more living in the Watch Towers . The Watch not only patrols the town streets, but also mans the gates and towers.

Purpose / Function

The barracks of Nedev are are where the Watch has it's headquarters. The officers have their residents here, and many of the Watch members also live here, although a number of them live in their own houses in the town.
The fortress is also one of the primary defenses of the town and many supplies are stored here as well in the towers along the walls.

Architecture

The barracks are constructed of stone and the walls are 10 feet high with the towers going up to 20 feet above the ground. The stone is the same that was used to construct the town walls so it seems like just an extension of the walls themselves.

Defenses

The barracks walls and towers are crenelated and the main building has arrow slits on the first and second floors covering the courtyard.
