Theodore Well

Theodore Well (a.k.a. Teddy)

"Pay no attention to my sister's fiancee. Teddy is a gentle soul, and completely useless. He's also a bit dull. I mean in the stupid sense, not the boring sense. Also the boring sense."   ~Oskar Bürkli, Sheriff of Sacqueline

Personal history

Teddy was born to a pair of river rats plying the Grasping River for trade and fishing. They found a lump of river gold when he was very young and invested it by buying a shipping warehouse in Port Hugo. Teddy was raised in relative comfort, and was sent to Krezzym to tutor with the Caravaneer Mutual Defense League and learn the merchant's trade.   His Becoming has given him nightmares. Acting on old rivalries and grudges, the Port Hugo mayor sent him with a half dozen youths to steal the Balatar guide-on from Alcedene. The intention was to ransom it, but the adventure went wrong and three of the youths wound up captured by the Sheriff Ellayne Warbough. Teddy made off with the enchanted flag, however, and keeps it as a much more pleasant and impressive memento than the gangrene arrow scar on his backside.   Since his Becoming, he's been a prominent merchant and the closest thing that Port Hugo has to a Plutarch
