Theodor Kraus

Theodor Kraus, known to his friends as Theo, is a human peasant from a town near the Glühenwald. He was befriended by the cheerful Lukas Falkenrath when both were children, and subsequently was recruited into House Falkenrath's employ as Lukas's personal manservant. This friendship blossomed into a shy, young love over time, though one the two kept hidden from the world.
Unfortunately, their love was not to be without troubles. Lukas, as the heir of House Falkenrath, was turned into a vampire on his eighteenth birthday according to his House's tradition - but against his will. If not for the early intervention and warning of Ottilie, Lukas's dearest cousin and an older vampire herself, Theo would have been caught in the young master's bloodlust, and the 'problem' of Lukas's attachments to a human boy would have been solved. Thankfully, Ottilie wanted no part of the tragedy, and saw that Theodor could flee the House with as many of Lukas's other mortal friends as possible.
The two would not meet again for over a year, and could meet only in short bursts. When Lukas was sent to Iskaldhal on a mission and failed to return, eventually revealing his newfound allegiance to the Lost Ones, Theodor was captured by House Falkenrath to use as bait for Lukas's return. He was rescued in early 5627 via a stealth mission by Kazric Szithna, Mery Eventide, Saeryn Ki'renna, Yiranna Adair, Zalni Quigblast, Amara, and a few other friends of the Lost Ones while the adventurers were busy dealing with the Earth-Mother's Gift in Shiar, much to Lukas's great relief.
His rescue did not come without cost. Theo was near death when discovered, kept just alive enough to be considered living. A clever deal with Ottilie, the cousin who had initially spared Theo's life, saw her death faked and Theo's escape secured. Ottilie had no wish to join the group, but promised to eventually speak with her cousin again, when there was no risk of her ruse being seen through. Theo, meanwhile, received extensive care by Yiranna, and was delivered into an ecstatic Lukas's arms that night.
The two have since been spending a great deal of time together in Ironfalls. Theodor has been assisting Lukas in running a small clothing store, for while Lukas handles much of the business well, he has never needed to worry about the financial or legal aspects of life. Theo, thankfully, is somewhat more down to earth.
