Drow

Drow are an elf-descended humanoid species. They are generally unknown to the surface population save for horror stories and mysteries, as they live beneath the earth in the cavernous levels of Istralar's subterrane - sometimes referred to as the Underdark.
It is not yet known when drow first came to exist, as the stories of their history are vastly different between areas of Istralar. Some believe that they were created in the aftermath of the First Divine War as lingering magical energy twisted the planet's darker reaches, whilst others suggest they were instead created in the outpour of toxic energy from the Worldrend.
