Scattered amongst shimmering scales and colored cloths, these people find their purpose, studying, crafting, and making magic, all things that make them productive members of the societies in which they live. Their dark and shimmery scales grant them a life free of the stigma that their more colorful kin face, allowing them a life unhindered, much like their ancestors that shapeshift and walk amongst the mortals.
Metallic Dragonkin are the descendants of one of the
Elder Races and a
Metallic Dragon. Their unique heritage allows them to walk amongst all manner of people and creatures, bringing with it their drive to find a purpose and aid those around them. Their scales bring notoriety, and safety as one of the few
Dragonkin who are not the spawn of the
evil Chromatic Dragons. For those of their colors, opportunity awaits them at every juncture.
Currently, Metallic Dragonkin can be found living throughout the world and are integrated into many societies, but a large population can be found on one of the
Zóni called
Ullindar. You will most often find these people in large cities, hidden in academies, and as travelers throughout the world but outside of their home country, it is rare to find gatherings larger than maybe fifteen. The largest city on the island of
Ullindar is called
Fearsome Maw and it is a curious city that shows a highly segregated aspect of their culture where each variety of
Dragonkin, not just the Metallic varieties, has their own sector of the city and their own gate that is used without exception.
Basic Information
Dragonkin are best known for their unique physical traits that confirm their lineage to be that of
Dragons, with the only thing left of the other half of their ancestry being their height.
The
Draconic heritage of a
Dragonkin helps determine their unique physical traits including the color of their scales, the type of damage their scales have developed a resistance to, and what type of weapon they will be able to breathe.
Dragonkin also inherit claws, the protectiveness of their scales, and tails from their
Draconic ancestors.
Metallic Dragonkin have many defining features, but these features are often not as sharp as the
Chromatic Dragonkin. Their prowess lies in magic and their impressive spellcasting abilities, as well as their political affinity, which often allows them to join with other races and integrate into societies easily without any type of stigma.
Additional Information
Dragonkin can be found scattered throughout Isekai, but outside of their homeland on
Ullindar, these people are often scattered and tend to choose to live amongst other races. Small groups of
Dragonkin may appear, but these small groups, considered tribes, rarely number more than fifteen or twenty. They prefer areas where they can mingle with people of the
Elder Races, partaking in parts of their heritage that are often masked by the more
Draconic traits.
Metallic Dragonkin tend to care little about color, but instead, choose to mingle with groups that have purpose and that they can become a productive member of. It is said that this is one trait inherited from their
Metallic Dragon parents, as
Metallic Dragons often meddle and aid in the affairs of other races. Metallic Dragonkin would live with
Dragonkin of any color, but
Chromatic Dragonkin will not allow this.
Culturally, the various colors of Metallic Dragonkin vary greatly, much like
Dragons do, in the ways they live and socialize. That being said, all colors of
Dragonkin,
Metallic and
Chromatic, can be found on
Ullindar, even though they often have dedicated areas per color. It is the safety of this area that brings them together at the
Fearsome Maw.

Perception & Sensory Capabilities
Metallic Dragonkin have inherited a number of physical traits from their Metallic Dragon ancestors that grant them special capabilities. This includes an increased vision in certain circumstances, increased hearing to that of a well-trained predator, and other abilities that are quite obviously those of a creature that is meant to be an apex predator.
It is also possible for these people to gain traits from the other half of their ancestry, but Draconic ancestry often takes precedence when it comes to perception and sensory traits.

Again, I really love the short sharp descriptions of each dragonkin to give a little insight into what they are like. :) I think Mercury are my favourite.
