PDRMN Logistics Fleet
This is the fleet that actually refuels and resupplies various stations, and sometime individual ships, wherever they are in the system. They are well known for their over-preparedness, which includes the deposition of a couple thousand small resource caches on predictable orbits throughout the solar system. Inside of the Kuiper belt, it is difficult to be more than 2 AU away from at least one.
The fleet itself is made up of older PDRMN ships. Once they have served for 5 years in the reserve fleet, their internals are mostly stripped out and replaced with various cargo systems. These ships typically have very small crews, typically less than 100 for a battleship sized craft, and less than 20 for any others. These ships also often accompany more traditional unmanned cargo pods, as well as protective, still functioning craft from the PDRMN Logistics Support Fleet. While these ships have had most of their systems stripped out, they typically still have small torpedo systems, and surface mounted PD systems, even if they are a little old.

Structure
Commanded by the Logistics Commander, with each convoy commanded by members of the PDRMN Logistics Support Fleet.
At any time there are approximately 20 convoys, mostly going to the major bases, but a few seeding new PDRMN Automated Supply Depot, or supplying individual ships on long term missions.
The Logi craft are occasional used to replace crew members aboard underway craft, typically in cases like a family death or other serious problem. This is because Logi Craft typically visit Mars once every month or so, a far faster turnaround than a typical mission.

The personnel on board the Logi craft are typically civilians, learning to maintain and repair ships, a highly valuable and difficult to train skillset.

Recruitment
This unit recruits typically inexperienced people who wish to get into ship maintenance or a similar field, and provide training and a generous pay for a 2 martian year commitment. Many enjoy the atmosphere onboard the ships, and like the toys they can play with, and so stay on to train the next generation of Logi Personnel.
History
Formed to keep the growing Asteroid Fleet supplied without making them come back, this was initially just a pair of interplanetary freighters, bought by the PDRM and outfitted with an additional pair of PD guns. It just celebrated its 100th anniversary.
