Navy of the PDRM

The People's Democratic Republic of Mars Navy is a large force with hundreds of ships. Its main job is obviously the protection of Mars and her interests, but it also projects the might of mars across the solar system.

Because of heavy automation and strong AI, not that many people actually serve in the Navy.

18000 people in the bureaucracy at the various Bases, mostly Aleph
12000 people in the Espatier Corps
8000 people in the Rapid Response Fleets
6000 people in the PDRMN Logistics Fleet
5000 people in the R&D arm

Equipment

Most of the personnel in the Navy wear a PDRMN Jumpsuit which is quite comfortable, but also hold pressure in case of an emergency.

Weaponry

Nearly all personnel are trained in the use of a simple coil-pistol. In addition, many are capable with a coil rifle, or with ship weaponry.

Structure

The Navy is composed of the Navy itself separated into fleets as well as the Espatier Corp. All are controlled by a branch of the Goverment which is based in Station Aleph.

All personnel are trained for at least 3 months, longer for specific jobs. PDRMN Training

Logistics

Logistical Support

The logistical arm of the PDRMN has dozens of tankers and other support craft that travel with armed escort or as part of fleet movement. They also supply the FOBs and Allied Bases of PDRM.

Upkeep

4 trillion dollars per year, including all expenses.

Recruitment

All martian citizens could be drafted, but it is a purely volunteer force.
