PDRMN Jumpsuit

Worn by all personell while underway, these garments are meant to provide a modicum of protection, as well as being easy to care for and the official uniform. A standard rust red is the "default", worn by officers with stripes denoting actual role, but many others are worn by enlisted personell.
Featuring 12 pockets in total, breathable, zippered front, and a lovely collar, it is not unpopular, justifying the tens of thousands of hours spent designing it.
The mildly dense fabric it is made of is in fact very air tight, but only when exposed to a vacuum on the exterior side, which allows this to function as an emergency spacesuit. Gloves come standard with it, and are always within reach, and they zip into the sleeves. A small hood in the collar can be pulled over the face and zipped tight, while small ports in the side can be plugged into common life support connectors. These can also interface with an emergency oxygen supply, allowing for mobility during a puncture situation.
While the garment comes with slight reinforcment built into the sole and top side of the foot, more serious footwear is typically needed and so all boots of the PDRMN are formed to fit over this jumpsuit.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Pretty simple as garments go. It is made to articulate well, crumpling to provide mobility, and to not expand too much when the outside is vacuum. They are individually tailored, though to a pattern, by an AI on enlistment and refreshed once a year.
The fabric is around 2 mm thick at the thickest, made of a multi layer cotton blend. The second outermost layer is mostly rubber formed into thousands of small channels. Under normal conditions they are open, allowing moisture to escape and fresh air to come in, though with some restraint. However, when the air pressure drops by 10 millibar over less than around 10 seconds, the pores lock up, slowly at first but they typically finish closing after another 10 seconds. The garment is now mostly airtight, apart from the hands and neck, which must be secured by the user. This process is irreversible, at least manually, and the garment must be recycled afterward.

Significance

Uniform of the Navy, though more official dress uniforms do exist for officers and formal occasions. The markings on the shoulder will identify the rank of the wearer, a stripe identifies the section, and the name tag over the right breast pocket will tell you the rest.
