The Sunken City Rises

The Gods are assembled, and it is time for some tough negotiations with some very rowdy immortals. But first, a little more fun in Suwirsha!

Pollicles Can and Pollicles Do

The night after the Pollicle adventure, the three Architects decided to blackbag Potha and take her to the Memory Court for Naming. With help from a number of NPCs, they did this successfully and scampered off in the night to the cats.    First, Potha was dunked and named. Potha was named Maplemark, Rank 9 (Warrior). Imora was also dunked and named Mungotibbles, Rank 8 (Thief). As Potha and Imora were taken away, dressed as clowns, and were about to be led off to wherever the Cats say clowns must go, the group decided to have Zofara get named. Zofara, as a warlock of the Scarred One, fought back (despite volunteering). When he was finally subdued, the pool's connection to Cosmic Lord Brambleshanks was strengthened, and the group had a chat with the Great Cat himself. He told them to teach other Cats his way; he spoke of his adventures and beliefs. Brambleshanks also told them of Halcyon's Pyramids: that the Lurking Eyes roosts there, collecting treasure, and that the Great Moktesar (the greatest of the Merfolk) was growing violent and dangerous there. Lastly, the Cat spoke of cat-sharks, the Longjaws (Warlock Jellicle Sharks near the Mathari Empire) and the Smoothlions (Warrior Sharks East of Desmia ).    Following the Pollicle cats, the group found evidence that they were being guided towards a Vetevic sleeper cell for recruitment. This group seemed to use a nice little eatery named Opal's Tea and Sandwiches as a contact point. With this note down, the group decided to go home and get to work.

Waking a God

The most important thing that only the Architects can do is raise the Sunken city of Vytara and wake the sleeping Goddess Theia the Liberator. Normally, this would be almost a year away by sailing, but the group has Haru on their side so it can take only a day.    The group teleported off to Vytara and arrived near the guardian lighthouse. The local lighthouse keeper told the group that a sinister presence had been thinning their group and trying to infiltrate the area, but that they hadn't succeeded. The Gods were here in time! They went to the shore, and their divinity manifested around them. The island rose, the reef-goers evacuated to the side caverns. A huge bridge formed to the island, a monument of sorts to the Architects. The Gods crossed, and met Theia warmly.

Getting Theia on Track

They greeted Theia, and quickly got to business. Theia was to avoid direct confrontation, but instead to go to Halcyon's Pyramids to solve that more minor problem. Theia was to stabilize local communities, but not begin revolution. The island could move like a ship, and would soon take a nearby teleportation circle, so transport wasn't an issue. The strategy was restraint and prudence first - war second. To help protect the island, the group also helped resurrect Theia's favored Leviathan, Calypso  There was some talk of burdens and responsibilities - Theia was a big bundle of guilt. There was also talk of Theia's inversion, Dorina - a fallen paladin who Theia asked the Gods to kill without talking to. Dorina was apparently someone Theia helped guide from an early age, who fell to 'corruption' and muddied Theia's name before the world. Theia told her to die a hero attacking the royal family, but Dorina twisted Theia's orders to only kill the King of Asalay before fleeing. A lot to unpack, later!   Before leaving, Makar told a lot of intentionally confusing stuff to the local Vytarans (all technically true, but incomprehensible to them without context). Kipilu played them some electro music, which most disliked - except for a funky old man named Silus.

Loose Ends and Lillies

The group headed back to Suwirsha. Makar checked in with Kamatu, who was settling in well. He had a few problems, especially surrounding language, religious expectations, and a culture of bureaucracy. He and his daughter had finally found a safe place to enjoy life, though, so that's a win.    Next, it was finally time for the week to turn over and for a Divine Contact. The group contacted Lily of Red, and the call didn't go entirely well. Lily was somewhat antagonistic, and didn't particularly care for the Architects commanding her. She agreed that the Pantheon needed to unite, but felt that there needed to be a structure to do so. Makar and Lily also clashed over Lily's genocidal approach to Desmia

Ascension

To get the Lunar Pantheon in order, the group decided to use Haru to Planeshift to Paradise. They found four thrones, Halcyon's ruined. The Gods gathered. Ishkibal took credit for destroying Halcyon's throne, but only to recreate what Lily herself had done to it centuries ago. It was a tense start, to say the least.   The Architects demanded that the Lunar Gods refrain from hurting each other now that violence was allowed in heaven. Ishkibal refused this order and said he would protect his people by any means necessary. The Architects pressured him and the others to avoid conflict nonetheless. They also took a few questions - what to do about the Martyr, notably. The Architects agreed to remove Dina from Inahng but gave no answer about what to do in the [Suneka

Angry Children

Potha chatted with ishkibal (to be resolved later), Makar talked with Orchid of Blue about the Rot situation, Kipilu talked with Agamine. Agamine seemed to like Kipilu's approach to divinity, and offered to help Kipilu (and Kipilu alone) in whatever needs doing. Arzet was confronted by Ghavi, who proceeded to beat him publicly and openly declared that he would go to the material plane and steal The Chimera's power, not as the apocalypse but as a son claiming his father's title.    Ghavi took Arzet to go see Yena, the founder of the Empire of Calazen and the Chimera's consort. Yena slowly recuperated from thousands of years of just existing, and was mad at everyone (especially Arzet) and mostly just done. Potha and Ghavi verbally sparred. The situation seemed dangerous, so Haru quickly got everyone out.    With the Lunar Gods talked to, the Architects now had proven themselves to their Immortals. Godhood semi-claimed, at least in heaven! But the Architects need more than these bickering ancients to win. They'll need all their strength, their wits, their friends, and the mortals of the world. Onwards, to save the world!
