East of the Processional, nestled within the northern expanse of New City, lies Clerkburg—known to scholars and locals alike as "The Halls." This district, brimming with the energy of academia, serves as the intellectual heart of Greyhawk. Its streets are alive with students from countless colleges, universities, and academies, all part of the city's legacy as a center of learning, a vision first realized under the reign of Zagig Yragerne. Professors, administrators, and scholars reside here, alongside sages and learned minds drawn to Clerkburg’s unparalleled wealth of knowledge. The presence of numerous **private libraries—and the prestigious Great Library of Greyhawk itself—**makes this a haven for those who study the ancient civilizations of the Flanaess and beyond.

Along the district’s southeastern edge, the Street of Temples stands as a bastion of faith and philosophy, home to shrines dedicated to Celestian, Kord, Lendor, and Boccob.

Despite such gatherings, Clerkburg remains one of Greyhawk’s more tranquil quarters. Students and artisans mingle in its small taverns and cafés, many of which offer open-air seating, fostering an atmosphere of casual discourse and debate. The Millstream, winding gently through the district, provides shaded paths and green spaces second only to the Garden Quarter, making it a favored place for study, reflection, and idle conversation.
