Black Dragon Inn
This three-story, slightly run-down inn is situated in the heart of the city. A sign carved to resemble the grinning visage of a black dragon hangs over the front door. A stable is located behind the inn.

Miklos Dare – Veteran Adventurer and Proprietor
The Black Dragon Inn is owned and run by Miklos Dare (Chaotic Good), a retired warrior with a legendary past. A red-bearded bear of a man, Miklos is instantly recognizable by his prosthetic leg, numerous scars, and booming laughter.
Once a hero of the Battle of Emridy Meadows, he fought alongside warriors from across the Central Flanaess to drive the forces of evil from the Temple of Elemental Evil . Now, he delights in recounting his tales to any who will listen—especially those who buy him a drink.
Miklos is also a valuable source of rumors, possessing deep knowledge of Greyhawk’s secrets and surrounding lands. For those who ply him with ale and an attentive ear, he is 50% likely to share a useful rumor, though no patron receives more than one to three rumors per year.
A Rivalry for the Ages
Miklos shares a longstanding, good-natured rivalry with Olaf and Sivan, the proprietors of the Silver Dragon Inn just up the street. Their pranks on one another have become legendary in Clerkburg, with the latest being Olaf and Sivan hiring a mage to enchant the Black Dragon Inn’s sign to drool acid—a spectacle that both delights and startles visitors. Miklos, of course, is already plotting his own retaliation.
