Carp Alderleaf
Carp Alderleaf, a male half-elf, is the child of Qelline Alderleaf and Meresin Alderleaf. He lives in Phandalin and helps his mother Qelline run Alderleaf Farm.
On Day 4 of the campaign (17 Tarsakh), Carp spotted Grista escaping the Sleeping Giant and running toward Tresendar Manor. He then saw Conor McGregor, Herb Stoner, Gwenlinn, Rayphlárd and Lords' Alliance agent Sildar Hallwinter leaving the tavern. He knew about the Redbrand Ruffians, so he suspected that the group had just fought them. He and Qelline brought them back to their farmhouse. While at the farmhouse, Carp described a trail he found in the woods south of Tresendar Manor that led to the Redbrand Hideout. The group then used that trail to invade the hideout on Day 5 (18 Tarsakh).
On Day 6 (19 Tarsakh), the party was in Stonehill Inn when Qelline Alderleaf arrived and dropped off Carp to be with his friend Pip Stonehill. Qelline stayed for a short time and talked to the party about Reidoth and Thundertree.
On Day 17 (30 Tarsakh), Herb Stoner (in his tiefling form) and Tubby approached the Sleeping Giant and briefly talked to Carp and Pip Stonehill in the streets. Carp was excited to meet Tubby, a blue dragonborn, because he reminded him of Rayphlárd and how he helped the party find the Redbrand Hideout. Carp and Pip told Tubby that they saw another blue dragonborn in Phandalin recently, a lady dragonborn walking around.
On Day 18 (Greengrass), at the Greengrass Festival, Carp and Pip hosted a hide-and-seek challenge. Shinzon Greenshadow entered the challenge and won. Carp and Pip also participated in an egg hunt hosted by Sister Garaele; Shinzon and Rayphlárd participated too. Carp was eliminated in the semifinal round, and Pip won in the final round.
On Day 19 (1 Mirtul), as Collateral Damage was on their way out of Phandalin, Carp approached the group. Carp asked them if he could tag along, saying that he could help them because he's sneaky and knows how to find stuff. Carp said he was going to be with the group evacuating to the Redbrand Hideout under Tresendar Family to stay safe from the dragon, so Conor McGregor asked Carp to instead stay in Phandalin and be their eyes and ears there while they were away. Carp agreed enthusiastically.
