Qelline Alderleaf

Qelline Alderleaf is a middle-aged, female half-elf. She owns and manages Alderleaf Farm in Phandalin with the help of her son Carp Alderleaf.

On Day 4 of the campaign (17 Tarsakh), she met Conor McGregor, Herb Stoner, Gwenlinn, Rayphlárd and Sildar Hallwinter after they confronted and defeated several of the Redbrand Ruffians at the Sleeping Giant. Carp spotted the group leaving the tavern and called them over, and Qelline took them in after she discovered they had battled the Redbrands. She let the group rest at her farmhouse.

On Day 6 (18 Tarsakh), she ran into Conor, Herb and Rayphlard at Stonehill Inn. The group had just defeated Iarno Albrek, and they came to the inn to rest. Qelline was dropping off Carp, who was coming to the inn to be with his friend Pip Stonehill. In a conversation with Herb, Qelline suggested trying to find her friend Reidoth, a druid who recently left Phandalin to go to Thundertree. She also agreed to bring back some mushrooms to plant at her farm for Herb.

Personal history

Qelline moved to Phandalin with her family at a young age. She met Meresin Alderleaf, another half-elf, and they married and had one child, Carp Alderleaf. After their marriage, Qelline joined Meresin in running Alderleaf Farm.

After Meresin's disappearance in 1488, Qelline took over the management of the farm, and Carp took on a larger role in the day-to-day operations. Qelline keeps a painting of Meresin displayed prominently in the living room of the farmhouse.
