Glacius

This continent was once connected to Galladia long before the time of humanity. Today is has drifted south, leaving some part of the continent frozen in eternal winter. However, the northern reaches sea much more mild winters due to westerly warm air currents This continent is mainly inhabited by the Glacian peoples who for the most part worship the god Tenebrus. They forefathers failed to make major incursions into this continent thinking it a place only of ice and cold. For this reason most of the major cities on the continent think of the forefathers with some amount of disdain.

Geography

The continent is fairly flat with signs of last glaciation. Many of the bays are made up of deeply incised walls and cliffs, making some of them quite treacherous to navigate. There is a large mountain range, the white fangs, but otherwise the only other major topographic feature is the Mist Hills south of the city of Glacia. These Hills, sculpted by the glaciers, were once a large mountain range, but today they rise only a couple of hundred feet above the valley floor. Two rivers have also incised in the valley, creating one of the major sources of fresh water for farming and the nearby city. The Black lake is another major source near the city of Fallen Stone, and in the winter this lake will completely freeze over. The Black River flows all year though being fed by the cold water beneath the ice as it flows north to the Narrow Sea.

Fauna & Flora

Todean blade can be caught in the waters off the southern and eastern coasts, while bane wolves stalk the planes. Seahawks are known to stalk the skies while Nerpenta inhabit the glacial lakes and inlets. Valar are now raised in the northern reaches of the continent and are sometimes used for transport to the southern parts of the continent in place of horses.

Natural Resources

Glaciation of the continent has provided with rich soil of sediment from long since past mountain ranges. Iron is also abundant in the White Fangs along with vines of silver. The Mist Hills also have some minor deposits of precious metals, but are more valued for the granite and stone deposits.
