Sirocco - Defunct

Sirocco, a land covered in the sands of time, breathes with the echoes of ancient epochs and whispers of shifting settlements. In the 4th Era, the realm witnessed the resurgence of Tombkings and Tombqueens of old, their reigns painted with the strokes of glory, tragedy, and intrigue. Sirocco bore witness to the a vast history tracking back to the first civilizations of gaul.
The Hierarch is the ruling government of this nation. Atop the pyramid rests the Tombmonarch. They are guided by the two main factions of the Caluan Desert. The Oligarchy, in charge of trade and prosperity through resources managed by the Merchant Magnates, all governed by the Oligarch of Sirocco. The other side of the desert coin is the Unspoken who spiritually guides the Tombmonarch in the ways of religion and history. The Sandcloaks, Sunseers and Moonfolk all follow their Apostle, of the Wind, Sun and Moon, respectively. The Apostles of the Desert convene with the Unspoken who lies hidden away in Odell to ensure the leader of the nation follows the ways of old. Two more people are integral to the balance of this nation. The Royal Mediator settles disputes between the Unspoken and the Oligarch and presents a neutral view for the Tombking or Tombqueen. There is also the Medjay, the leader of the Tombguard, elite soldiers loyal to only the ruler and the true unbiased voice away from the religion and the coin.
The people of Sirocco, with their faces veiled by silk and eyes gleaming with tales of bygone eras, live in the harsh, hot desert of Calua. Wearing clothes that covers most of their bodies while maintain light materials to not swelter in the hot, arid sun. The desert casts its golden glow on bustling markets and ancient temples, where echoes of prayers and the clink of coins intermingle. Beneath the surface, secrets simmer and long forgotten pieces of history rest just below the sand.

The people of the desert believe that when you pass on, you join the sands of the desert so when a sandstorm blows, it is the force of the ancestors. There are some religious figures known as the Deathscriers who are able to commune with the spirits of the past through the sand, usually by using a resource called Ancestral Ink that is very rare and sought after.
Many old settlements were destroyed in the Thousand Years of Silence, also known as the Third Era, but old ruins and towers stood through the destruction. In particular old Siroccan settlements gave a foundation for a new government to form under the Caluan heroine Ghi'Nan Rhytyn.
The 4th Era brought the Second Rise of Sirocco after the Thousand Years of Silence, Ghi'Nan Rhytyn rose as the first Tombqueen of this era. One of the Six who saved all of the gaulan race to defeat the Onyx Elves and begin the new Era with their gifts given by Dhara's sacrifice in the final battle. Ghi'nan was given an inkwell that magically refilled with the much sought after Ancestral Ink. With this, she not only communed with the Tombmonarchs of old, she also dipped her arrows in ink and could summon spectral warriors to ride along her loosed arrow, calling upon her ancestors to fight alongside her as she fought for order in the shifting desert to form Sirocco once more.
The ancient traditions and rituals of the most radical deathscriers were embedded with dark magic and sacrifices of the innocent. The House of Rhytyn who ruled the Hierarch are the Tombkings and Tombqueens.
Sirocco held strong even though inner turmoil shook the highest powers of the land. Tombkings were seduced by dark magic of Old Deathscriers that allowed the to peer into the future instead of commune with the past. This ceremony required the sacrifice of one with Ennobled Blood, something only the descendants of Ghi'Nan had within them. The Hierarch darkly ventured into kinslaying and betrayal as their Tombkings and Tombqueens became addicted to the power they received from this dark art. Rules of Sirocco eventually began creating and killing their own children to view into the future with the intent on keeping their nation safe. This concluded with a restructuring near the end of the 4th Era, while the rest of the mainland fought the bloody Fracturing War. When the world was finished fighting and the Skytracers held the title of Highqueen, Sirocco was in no position to disobey the new ruling leader of the mainland. All nations were to become one land without borders. Countries were abolished as all regions were simply named after their natural areas. Sirocco died and what was once their border was officially called the Caluan Desert. The Fifth Era began within the Joint Armistice Lands and the nations of the 4th Era were ended.

Culture

The rulers of Sirocco have been blessed with visions into the future from the Dentoran Moon Sacrifice, an ancient, controversial ritual where a Tombmonarch will elect to sacrifice their own child when they turn 12 if they are deemed to be on a path to poor leadership of the nation. Usually a Tombking or Tombqueen will try and have many heirs who are raised by different members of the Hierarch. The Tombmonarch will sacrifice their eldest child continually until they only have 1 child remaining that is well suited to lead Sirocco. After that, the child is cared for by the royal parent until the parent is ready to be pass the mantle onto their child and allow themselves to be sacrificed, giving their child a taste of the visions and direction needed for the nation to move forward. This creates a culture of disconnect with a child unless they are deemed worthy, then a leader will stop having heirs, cull the younger one, and will spend their resources steering the child correctly into an adult so that they can be replaced by that best suited leader that they spawned.   Ar-Gaz is the Husband of the Tombqueen.   Tamet'Tut is the Wife of the Tombking.   Royal Concubine is the male or female secondary lovers of the royal ruler who they have bore children with.

History

3E The Onyx Era (1555 BHM to 556 BHM)

597 BHM Ghi'Nan is born in a workcamp digging holes into the desert floor to search for a great power their Onyx Overlords have sought for centuries (Age 0)   3E, 977 (588 BHM) Ghi'Nan (Age 9) stows away in a breakout inside a merchant cart, she is brought by the vendor to the safe haven of Silvermound, one of the few gaulan strongholds that never fell in the Thousand Years of Silence. The history of this place was some of the only account of old Sirocco and the world of the Third Era, all other stories are folk legends and oral stories passed down. A library is set up in Silvermound that is beginning to take in scholars, although the main focus of the cratered city is defence and aiding refugees escaping the tyranny of the shadow beasts.   3E, 978 (587 BHM) Ghi'Nan (Age 10) discovers the medallion she bears of a lunar moth is the sigil of an old Siroccan house. Her family name is Rhytyn as described in the old book the Dean of the Sterling, Anastasius Solv, lent to the young girl. Ghi'Nan heard of a nearby settlement that was on the verge of defeat by the elven forces as well as the conscripted gaul that fought alongside the tyrants of shadow. Ghi'Nan naively thought she could help and snuck into a cart heading out with some soldiers of Silvermound. She was wrong and the soldiers were slaughtered in the battle. The young Caluan was captured as if she had been part of the settlement and she was taken back to a work camp, at this point the digging had ceased in the desert and the prisoners were being trained to fight for the malicious shadow elves, if you could call these twisted shadow beasts elves any more.   3E, 984 (572 BHM) Ghi'Nan (Age 15) has been training in the armies of the enemy for 5 years now, controlled by fear and magic like many of her fellow gauls. Even the elves that were so hated by man seemingly have lost their will as the shadow elves seeks conquest of this world. Ghi'Nan has now trained with the elite guard of women warriors that came from the old town of Jasmin, long destroyed in the past 900 years of war. Their methods and elite fighting skills were passed down from warrior woman to warrior women, now Ghi'Nan learns to handle a bow staff as lethally as the Jasmin Guards. She also worked alongside an old Sandcloak, a warrior who can turn his body to sand with ancient desert magic. She learns to sand stride as well as handle a bow with deadly accuracy. The people controlled by their captives had free will and down time, they bonded and lived in this constant stat of chains. Once an order was given, the minds became feeble and they followed the behest of the Onyx Elves, many unable to fight against the mind magic while they still retained every sick deed that was tasked to them by the soulless shadow beasts.   570 BHM The Dragons awaken as the balance of order over the last 1000 years shifted with the wars of the Onyx Elves. 7 Warriors are recruited by the Onyx Overlords to help fight the dragon. The Pheoran elves are also recruited from a dragon fighting order of monks living within the Firefang Jags, these are the Kingfishers. Ghi'Nan (Age 17) is tasked to fight in the dragon wars.   560 BHM The Dragon wars come to an end after the last dragon who was also the leader of the creatures Synapsid is slain by the Kingfishers and the 7 generals who lead the gaulans. These 7 were comprised of Dhara the Spellsmith, Beowulf Skytracer the General, Ivorus Windslayer the Warmonger, Yvonette Boggan the Tactician, Ghi'Nan Rhytyn the Mystic (Age 27), Adonis Oakhand the Magelord and Oceanus Tempest the Wayfarer. Ivoris dealt the final blow with his Finite Lance, henceforth known as the Dragon Lance.   557 BHM Abuu Born (Age 0) as his mother Ghi'Nan (Age 30) plans for war, secretly meeting with her fellow generals. As they grew in power, they began to break free of the mind control that had befallen them. Being near Dhara also eased their minds, although they were never able to forget what they had done in the name of their captors.   556 BHM The 7 generals who fought together for a decade used their affinity for one another to rally the gaul against the oppressive Onyx Elves. The Great Rebellion of Man defeated the Onyx Elves in a fierce battle in the North. Dhara died during this and all that were weary saw him ascend to the heavens above. This rallied the remaining 6 leaders to push one final time and defeat their enemies. (Ghi'Nan Age 31)

4E The Six Monarchs Era (555 BHM to 1 BHM)

Ghinean Period

555 BHM The Coronation of the Six. Ghi'Nan (Age 32) is designated the First Tombqueen of this era as she makes her way to unite the desert of Calua as the war left many wounded and even more fighting amongst each other for resources. Unspeakable ats were completed in the name of the Onyx Elves but the Six set out to move on as best they could and reestablish order amonst the worried and afraid. Ghi'Nan requested that she reclaim the old Siroccan title of Tombmonarch to continue the lost traditions she aws able to learn about in Silvermound. The nation she planned would be new but with ties to traditions of the long past.   551 BHM Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 36) designates the area around Odell as the Second Rise of Sirocco, the oldest civilization known to man. Although the history of the Third Era was lost in the great battles and destruction, the deathscriers were able to communicate with the old ancestors of their fallen civilization. Many customs and cultures had been passed down through oral stories yet the reason why many of these traditions occurred were lost over the Thousand Years of Silence. Ghi'Nan spent her first 4 years writing a manifest to share the history of her people while using that as a guideline to create a new nation. Sirocco was officially created using the red sun sigil on a yellow backdrop as their flag.   545 BHM The Six convene at a safe bend in the river cutting through the Gaulan Plains, Beowulf welcomes his old friends to find they have all, including himself, have not aged since the Great Rebellion. The magic that surged from Dhara to them upon his death infused their blood with Essence and slowed their aging dramatically. All 6 had formed their own unique governments in the areas they now controlled. (Ghi'Nan Age Slowed 42)   543 BHM Abuu (Age 14) is proving to be a very intelligent young boy. His ability to move resources and good for the benefit of his people is known far. Abuu is aging at a normal pace because he was born before his mother was gifted with her Ennobled Blood.   532 BHM In the reborn settlement of Odell, Abuu (Age 25) continues to show his ability to lead his people using money and trade. Odell's Great Bazaar is built to trade foreign goods. Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 54) wishes for her people to rely on the gods instead of their coin, she has taught traditions that were thought lost to the worshippers of the two moon siblings and the father Silous, the sun. She even reached out the Suntek Elves of Carthureagus, at this point, men and elf hated one another but Ghi'Nan understood that she was controlled to do terrible things, it wasn't out of the question that elves were in the same situation. Besides that, the Suntek Elves were never conquered, defending the labyrinth around the World Tree (Also called the Sun Tree) for the thousand years that the Onyx Elves waged their war for supremacy and control. Her son was bringing wealth to the desert, while she sought bring back the spirituality that she formed Sirocco with. Abuu and Ghi'Nan have many arguments on how the nation should be run. Ghi'Nan has the final word but wanted her people to thrive as well. She decided that beneath the Tombqueen there would be the master of trade and coin for the Caluan Desert. She remains the Tombmonarch and her son becomes the Oligarch. Abuu needs to make sure the country's prosperous wealth can help it grow culturally as well.   531 BHM Ishtar, Belessa, Ninlil, Ninki, Elutil are born (Age Slowed 0) and trained in deathscrying by their mother Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 55) in the Glass Forest. Identical Quintuplets.   517 BHM Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 69) offers to relinquish her title to focus on training her daughters on the ways of the ancestors. After Abuu's reign as Tombking, the Hierarch must be split equally between Commerce and Religion. This is when the Scriptures of the Hierarch were written. Abuu (Age 40) would train a commoner on how to maintain the royal bank as well as he does to take over the Oligarchy. Ghi'Nan selected Ishtar, the eldest of her Deathscrier quintuplets to become the first Unspoken. They would convene with the Apostles of Wind, Sun and Moon to guide the future tombmonarchs on the ways of the gods. The Apostles come from the Sandcloaks, the Suntek and the Moonfolk, respectively. Abuu's children will uphold the gods' will to the best of their ability at the counsel of the Unspoken, a figure who stays hidden away within Odell and speaks to the Apostles and the ruler of Sirocco. Any decision placed before Abuu would have an opinion from Ishtar the Unspoken as well as his successor, Matria the Oligarch. Even though Abuu was fiscally minded, he kept his promise to his mother and always heard the Unspoken's opinion on matters dealing with the direction of Sirocco.

Abuuan Period

516 BHM Tombking Abuu (41) accepts his mother's offer as she steps aside and his rule begins. The Five Deathscriers counsel the Tombking while Ishtar is their final opinion on any matter, the Unspoken is kept secret from the populace so they believe the Tombking is the only word of law when it comes to the religious opinion of the nation. Abuu looks the same age as his mother now because he was born before the extended life gifted from Dhara. HIs mother Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 70) continues to train new deathscriers in new settlements. The Moonfolk are becoming the dominant religion within the region.   511 BHM Kurum is born healthy to his mother and father Abuu (Age 46) As well as the various children of the quintuplet aunts (Age Slowed 20).   508 BHM Inanna born healthy to his mother and father Abuu (Age 49) As well as the various children of the quintuplet aunts (Age Slowed 23). Grandmother Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 78) was unable to attend the granddaughter's birth as she was inside the Carthureagus being tested by the Apostle of the Sun.   505 BHM Twins Fairuz and Hanifa (Age 0) are born to Abuu (Age 52).   499 BHM Abuu (Age 58) took his eldest son Kurum (Age 12) to visit his newly born cousins and their mothers (Age Slowed 32). The Eldest of the Quintuplets raises her daughter in Odell. The other 4 have ventured out into developing cities in Calua. The 5 Deathscriers were all at different stages of family. As more towns popped up in Calua, more representatives of the Deathscriers were needed. Most of the modern day Deathscriers are descendants of the original 5 Deathscriers. Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 87) and Abuu decided that the eldest sister Ishtar should be permitted to find a husband like her sister's. Ishtar was still the spiritual leader but her anonymity and lack of social interaction beside her coin focussed brother left her rather socially awkward when finding a suitable husband. The other 4 and their children would take residence in one of the many new cities that have developed from the Oligarch's money management. Ishtar the Unspoken finds a man with whom she becomes pregnant.   495 BHM Matria announces her retirement and selects a new commoner, the warden Thrahn Pharin of Fort Argent in Silvermound, to be the third Oligarch. Matria's last investment was in the small library that aided Ghi'Nan in the Silvermound. The people there have always been more about science than religion but now The Sterling Congressional Library brings a lot of wealth to the province because it entices scholars across Galfin to research there. Matria was close friends with Anastasius Solv. Abuu (Age 62) initially disagreed with this move but his Oligarch had only proven worthy of his succession through her tenure so he allowed it.   480 BHM Abuu (Age 77) was getting sick in his old age. He introduced his first child Kurum (Age 31) to the Unspoken Ishtar (Age Slowed 51) to be guided on how to become a good religious leader. Ishtar and Thrahn butted heads more than the previous Oligarch and little got done in Abuu's final years. A new position was added to the Hierarch, Royal Mediator. A Caluan who could listen to both sides of the Oligarch and the Unspoken and present both options, good and bad, to the Tombmonarch to allow decision to be made more efficiently.

Kuryte Period

478 BHM Kurum (Age 33) becomes Tombking. His Grandmother Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 108) visits him after his inauguration. She tells him that she has been establishing connections with the Sunseers that have lived in the desert for millennia. She tells her grandson that they are now protecting her Ancestral Inkwell that was crafted by Dhara. They will send vials of Ancestral Ink to each city in Sirocco, ensuring the Deathscriers can communicate with the spirits of the past. They are setting up this system from the Mir'Dhat Acroplis, an old stronghold of the Suntek Elves that was besiged during the Third Era. They have reclaimed it so all the Tombmonarch must do is keep them protected at all costs. Kurum thanks his grandmother, Kurum is more religiously connected than his father Abuu (Age 79) the mathematician was. The Moonfolk have made Deathscrying an integral part of worship for many practicing Moon worshippers in the country.   477 BHM Ammon (Age 0) Born to Inanna (Age 31), Abuu's (Age 80) daughter and second child.   475 BHM Abuu's Death (Age 82). The Unspoken (Age Slowed 56) burns his body in the crypts of Odell as a gift to the Moon Gods. Although thankful for Dhara, the Unspoken has made sure his worship is not on the same level as the Moons, Wind or Sun.   467 BHM Tombking Kurum (Age 44) dies unexpectedly in the night. The Unspoken (Age Slowed 64) finds his younger sister Inanna (Age 41) to educate her on the duties of the Tombmonarch. She is brought to Odell with her son Ammon (Age 10). Innana had ignored most of the royal teachings presented to her when she was younger. She did not know the extent in which the Unspoken had equal say as the Oligarch. Innana was not religious and felt Ishtar's role was unnecessary.

Inan Period

467 BHM Inanna (Age 41) gains her title of Tombqueen. She belittles the the Unspoken Ishtar (Age Slowed 64), not believing in her counsel for her family as she believes the Oligarch should have more power in the Hierarch.   466 BHM Seeing the value of money more than religion, Inanna (Age 42) creates the title of Chief Regrator to work under the Oligarch. With this the Tombqueen, Oligarch and Chief Regrator picked 8 Merchant Magnates to oversee the most valuable resources in Sirocco (Food, Wine, Ore, Spice, Arms, Livestock, Cloth, People). This was dubbed the Merchant Magnate Guild. The lowest level Hucksters would travel to far off settlements being formed on the mainland and establish trade.   465 BHM Inanna (Age 43) dies in the guarded halls of Odell. The Unspoken Ishtar (Age slowed 66) then takes in Ammon (Age 12) as her own, raising him next to her daughter Tiamep (Age slowed 14) who is to be the next Unspoken.

Ammonian Period

464 BHM Ammon (Age 12) becomes the next Tombking, the boy listens to Ishtar the Unspoken's (Age Slowed 66) daughter Tiamep (Age Slowed 15) without question. Ghi'Nan (Age 121) confronts her eldest daughter about the power she has over the young boy. The Unspoken Ishtar tells the first Tombqueen that she has lost her sight of the country as she wanders the sand looking for answers to the past.   461 BHM The Tombguard are formed by Ammon (Age 16) and The Unspoken Ishtar (Age Slowed 70) to protect the Odell Temple and the royal lineage. The idea is that the Tombguard listen and protect only the Tombmonarch, they are not beholden to the Royal Mediator, the Unspoken or the Oligarch.   459 BHM Ghinan (Age Slowed 126) rallies her other 4 daughters and their children to confront the eldest Quintuplet. There are also loyal Suntek Fire Elves accompanying Ghi'Nan. The confrontation was intended to get her daughter to simply guide and not seek power. Ammon (Age 18) is loyal to the Unspoken and the Tombguard stand at their side. The talks result in violence as Ghi'Nan shows why she was a Hero of Dhara and slays many of the Tombguards. Ghi'Nan is wounded but slays her eldest daughter Ishtar (Age Slowed 72) in the battle. The Suntek elves retreat with her back to the Mir'Dhat Acropolis. The Four Deathscriers and their followers surrender to the young Tombking Ammon. Tiamep (Age Slowed 20), the Daughter of the first Unspoken takes her deceased mother's place.   458 BHM After a year in jail, Ammon (Age 19) sees that the people need their connections to the ancestors. He frees his distant cousins to return to their homes and work with the Merchant Magnates in charge of each town. When Ammon sought guidance from his new Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 21), she laid with him and afterwards told the Tombking that she will handle her Aunts. The Unspoken Tiamep sacrificed the 4 Deathscriers to the Moons and received incredible visions of the future, this was a dark ritual passed down from Ishtar and her father who was a dark mage. He died before she was born but her mother learned much from his studies. Tiamep saw that Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 127) had placed her trust in the mercenary group known as the Scarab Walkers, currently causing destruction in the southern cities of Sirocco. The leader of this faction was a freedom fighter named Moasis Solv, probably related to the old librarian who ran the Sterling. Ammon also declared that the Oligarch and the Tombking cannot be in the same city for risk of further assassination attempts. He announced his Royal Mediator will now communicate the wishes of both government leader between Odell and Cavahn in the northern desert province of Kadin.   455 BHM Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 130) got the aid of a military leader known throughout the desert to assist her in safely speaking to her descendant. The Scarab Walkers agreed to protect the weakened Ghi'Nan. Moasis was a well spoken man, his brother Vasien had connections in the capital and accompanied Moasis to orgnaize a conversation between Tombking Ammon and Ghi'Nan. The brothers had crimes in the south of Sirocco that they wished to be admonished of. Ghi'Nan had become less connected with the ongoing relationships of the world as she frequently got lost in visions with the ancestors. The Suntek Elves of Mir'Dhat warned her against trusting these brothers. Ghi'Nan told them that no matter what they must trust the Scriptures of the Hierarch. They must protect and deliver the Ancestral Ink to the deathscriers no matter the relationships with the government itself. The Ancestors were the only true way to find the soul of the people. If they can connect with them, then the country always has a chance to return to a good soul. This was the main tool the Moonfolk used to gain more followers, giving advice from those passed on.   454 BHM Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 131) met with her descendant Tombking Ammon (Age 23) and her granddaughter, the new Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 25). This was organized by Vasien Solv. Ghi'Nan promised to stop her uprising for the stability of her nation if the Tombking promised to continue the support of the Sunseers and their protection of the Ancestral Ink. It was integral to maintain the direction of Sirocco. Ammon agreed that the Deathscriers were important to his country. When all seemed to be heading towards peace, Ghi'Nan was then betrayed by the Scarab Walkers as the Unspoken Tiamep had allied herself with Vasien, brother of Moasis and organizer of this rendezvous. With no allies, Ghi'Nan was taken into the crypts of Odell to be sacrificed by the Unspoken Tiamep. Ghi'Nan was kept alive as a slow burn of Essence energy to give the Unspoken visions.   449 BHM Neith Rhytyn (Age Slowed 0) is born as a result of the Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 30) and Ammon's (Age 28) secret relationship. Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 136) is still barely kept alive to give the Hierarch insight into the past and future. Tiamep had told her lover that Ghi'Nan was killed after the betrayal by Vasien.   441 BHM Siduri (Age Slowed 0) is born. The girl's mother Tiamep (Age Slowed 38) is too distracted with influencing politics that her daughter is sent to live with a Deathscrier niece outside of Odell. Tombking Ammon (Age 36) is mostly a puppet at this point.   435 BHM Raabi (Age Slowed 0) is born and sent to live with the Oligarch Harkon Grang. The Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 44) is attempting to put her family in charge of both branches of government. As much as Ammon (Age 42) loathed his Great Ancestor Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 150) for her insurrection, he once believed in the separate branches of government. His partner and him begin disagreeing more.   412 BHM The Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 67) convinces her husband Ammon (Age 62) to force the Oligarch Harkon to retire and leave their young son Raabi (Age Slowed 23) in command of finances of the Hierarch.   410 BHM Neith (Age Slowed 39) welcomed Tirigan (Age 0) into the world.   408 BHM Siduri (Age Slowed 33) returns to Odell to take over the Unspoken duties from her mother Tiamep (Age Slowed 71), who has now moved entirely out of the shadows and into the throne room. Tiamep runs Sirocco as her son Raabi tries to bring reason to the madness as a good Oligarch, even if his position was driven by that of nepotism.

Neithan Period

405 BHM The Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 74) finds her husband Tombking Ammon (Age 69) dead on his bathroom floor. Her son Neith (Age Slowed 44) takes the mantle of Tombking, Siduri (Age Slowed 36) is the upcoming Unspoken and Raabi (Age Slowed 30) is the current Oligarch. The Unspoken Tiamep has completed what her mother Ishtar could not, placed her family in complete power of the Hierarch.   403 BHM The Unspoken Tiamep allows her son Neith (Age Slowed 46) and Daughter Siduri (Age Slowed 39) to visit Ghi'Nan in the crypts to partake in the ritual to receive visions. Tombking Neith fully believes the only way to stay ahead of other nations is to have this futuresight. He becomes addicted to the feeling of receiving these visions. The once great Ghi'Nan has been nothing but an essence fueled battery for years now.   400 BHM The Unspoken Tiamep (Age Slowed 79) makes her way down to the crypts of Odell. She goes to gloat to her Grandmother. This is the sweet revenge for Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 185) killing her mother Ishtar, the corruption and the collapse of the nation Ghi'Nan began. The fall of her system of balance and the destruction of her legacy. The Unspoken Tiamep wanted to siphon the rest of Ghi'Nan's power to not only see through time but manipulate it. She began drinking the Ancestral Ink as well as siphoning Ghi'Nan's Ennobled blood in this sacrifice to the Moon gods. This act gave Tiamep vivid visions of the past and future. She saw the moon Cresio breaking apart and 3 silver meteorites crashing into the far past of Silvermound. She saw the slaying of the Dragon God Synapsid by the Warriors of Dhara and the Kingfishers. She saw Siol extinguish and reignite 6 times. A Green Flame burn the landscape of Galfin and a Blue Witch causing the Seventh Sun. During this vision, Ghi'Nan almost died but the Unspoken was so enthralled that she could not hear the clanging of metal cutting through flesh. She did not hear the screaming of life ripped away by the clutches of mechanics. Suddenly an orange robed man stood behind the granddaughter of Ghi'Nan. It's face cold metal as gears drove it forward. This forged man simply took out a scroll, scratched off a name and punched it's piston driven fist through her back to tear out her heart. Ghi'Nan saw this through her pain and watch as the automaton walked away from the deceased time meddler. This vision filled energy weakened the structure of the crypts. The chains holding one of Ghi'Nan's arms broke loose in the destruction. She was able to crawl towards the blood of her granddaughter, which now has Ancestral Ink coursing through it. She deathscries just like she used to in the Great Rebellion. She summons the spectral ancestors to aid her in her escape. They free her and she walks out of Odell never to return.   399 BHM Ghi'Nan (Age Slowed 189) is buried by the Sunseers in a tomb near the coast. They keep their promise and continue sending Ancestral Ink to the Deathscriers of Sirocco. This was the savior of their people's last request. This was an end of a moral era for Sirocco.   396 BHM Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 55) still feels the yearn for the visions into the timeline. This has been his main focus for years and his younger brother, the Oligarch Raabi (Age Slowed 39) pleads with him to just return to ruling the nation. The new Unspoken, Siduri (Age Slowed 45) learned more from her cousins in the poor towns than from her mother Tiamep, she returned the Unspoken role to being a hidden counsel to the Tombmonarch. Little do they know that both the Tombking Neith and Unspoken Siduri are yearning for that same fix given to them by the visions. They are addicted to something they cannot achieve.   395 BHM Young Tirigan (Age slowed 15) is exploring his father, the Tombking Neith's temple when his mother follows him into the crypts. They inadvertently activate the old Moon Sacrifice altar. This energy burst through the throne room floor where Siduri (Age Slowed 46) and Neith (Age Slowed 56) immediately recognized this energy. They went down to find Tirigan's mother sobbing, she accidentally activated the mechanisms where Tirigan was playing. Neith and Siduri both touched the energy and received a vision. This told them that the sacrifice of the Ennobled Blood can provide those blessed with the same longevity the visions they sought. They fall back away from the energy. Tirigan's mother is terrified that her husband is more worried about this energy fading away. He tries to calm her down but she is frantic, wants to get a mage or alert the authorities. Siduri panics in the moment and kills Neith's wife. He is shocked and angry but she leaps on him and kisses him, telling him that they need to make more offspring with ennobled blood to continue seeing visions and ensure Sirocco's future.   394 BHM Unnamed (Age 0) is born of the incestuous relationship of Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 57) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 47).   394 BHM The boy, Unnamed, (Age 0) is immediately sacrificed to the Moon altar and causes the parents, Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 58) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 48), to have a small vision but their addiction is not fed. They immediately try again as they have exhausted all other options to get their fix.   393 BHM Jushur (Age 0) is born of the incestuous relationship of Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 59) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 49)   392 BHM Babati (Age 0) is born of the incestuous relationship of Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 60) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 50)   391 BHM Aradlugal (Age 0) is born of the incestuous relationship of Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 61) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 51)   390 BHM Jushur (Age 3) is sacrificed, the power grows and their visions are stronger but the boy dies and they dissent into guilt and depression. Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 62) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 52) psychotic obsession is destroying their empathy. They decide to wait longer in the hope that their visions are stronger when an older person with the gifted blood is sacrificed. This is driving them more mad over the years.   390 BHM Rahn (Age 0) is born of the incestuous relationship of Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 62) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 52)   390 BHM Oligarch Raabi (Age Slowed 45) is mostly running Sirocco at this point, he does not know of his siblings relationship or their blood lust. He was too busy keeping the country afloat during this trying time. He never saw his sister and never knew she was pregnant as many times as she was over the years.   388 BHM Sidu (Age slowed 0) dies in a miscarriage. Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 64) is more angry about the lack of a vision ritual than the miscarriage itself. The siblings now only see each other to create a new being with ennobled blood. Siduri is getting very weak and sick from the many births over the last few years.   387 BHM Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 65) impregnates numerous common woman and locks them up without his sisterwife (Age Slowed 55) knowing. She is bedridden and unable to produce more children. Neith is mad with power, scribbling what he believes his visions meant in his throne room while his distant brother runs the country out of Cavahn.   386 BHM Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 66) sacrifices the commoners children and finds that they do give him a foresight vision but not as strong as his and his sister’s children. He impregnates the women again and ensures the Tombguard keeps them a secret. Corruption has run afowl in the nation Ghi'Nan built.   384 BHM Babati (Age slowed 8) is sacrificed to the Moon and causes the Neith and Siduri to have a larger vision. Siduri looks incredibly sickly but they now understand that the longer an ennobled blood aged, the more vivid their vision is. Knowing this allowed them to plan for the future by seeing dire events for their kingdom. Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 66) and Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 56) plan their rituals to guide the future of the province.   379 BHM Aradlugal (Age slowed 12) is sacrificed as Tombking Neith (Age Slowed 71) has been getting his foresight visions from his commoner children sacrifices. This vision is the first one to equal the power they saw when they siphoned Ghi'Nan for the first time. When the children come of age at 12 seems to be when they provide the greatest visions of the future, this was due to their slowed aging truly beginning to kick in around that age, fully taking affect around age 18. This vision from their neglected 12 year old let them see into the future. Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 61) also saw that Tombking Neith’s farm of woman incubators will be revealed by a tombguard a few years down the road, this causes the people to turn on the Hierarch. Even Raabi (Age Slowed 56) is murdered even though the people currently love him. Lastly both see that the two of them and their addiction are the reason their kingdom falls. Defying the governmental balance that Ghi'Nan established leads to the destruction of Sirocco and the House of Rhytyn. When both came out of the vision trance, they were mortified. Neith started explaining the farm of woman incubators but Siduri was more focussed on the downfall of their nation driven by their actions. Siduri immediately stabbed her brother-husband in the ritual room and chained him up. She performed the ritual again to see that the visions are possible futures to either ensure or avoid depending on one's actions. With the death of her husband she saw a future where the Tombmonarchs can use this ritual to keep their country in prosperity but only if the leader of the religious branch believes that this is what is supposed to happen for the good of the country.

Rahnon Period

379 BHM Rahn (Age 12) is given the kingdom after his father Neith’s death. Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 61) teaches him of their ways to sacrifice their children until they deem one worthy to take their place. This is used as a cover to continue using the dark magic of the Dentoran ritual to aid Sirocco while creting pretense as to why the Wrathful Brother would wish this heinous act. She believed this was necessary for the future of Sirocco as one could foresee dangers and attacks and prepare accordingly. Once a Tombmonarch knows your youngest child is going to put the country on the best track, a ruler then gives themself to the Moon Sacrifice alter and the child takes the reigns of the kingdom getting their first vision from your death. This became a major part of ruling belief and culture all due to the lie of Siduri to cover up the years of atrocity she brought to her own children.   375 BHM Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 65) has ensured that the past history of the Hierarch has remained locked away. The tale of the Wrathful Brother was already part of Caluan myth, now Sinduri spun that tale to ensure her descendants would continue receiving visions while not knowing Tiamep's dark magic was the basis of the ritual.   371 BHM Siduri (Age Slowed 69) speaks to her younger brother about giving up his title to separate the two levels of Governments once again. Oligarch Raabi (Age Slowed 64) agrees and leaves the Hierarch, he has become disconnected with his sister after their years of secrecy and lies. He decrees that the Merchant Magnate Guild will nominate the Oligarch from now on. They pick Eltan Murik, an esteemed trading partner of Mercadia and the mine dwarves of the plains.   369 BHM Unspoken Siduri (Age Slowed 71) summons a distant cousin to take her place as Unspoken. Siduri remains in charge of the Moon Sacrifice.   367 BHM Tombking Rahn (Age 24) enacts and puts into law the Dentoran Moon Sacrifice for his family. The people questioned this official law but Rahn was kept in the dark on why they were confused. Because of the lie, he didn't know that this dark ritual did not exist before his parents. The people would not speak about this because the Sandcloaks would take them away. Even the Apostle of the Wind was corrupt in Siduri's plot. The faction became the silent police of the government, the Tarkantry.   364 BHM Siduri (Age Slowed 76) told her son that he is now in charge of continuing the tradition of the family. She claimed that her foresight has told her that she must die for Sirocco to remain prosperous. She was sacrificed at the altar by her son Rahn for him to get his first vision. Rahn (Age slowed 27) completes the ceremony and saw the eventual Fracturing War, he then left notes for his descendants to stay out of any royal conflicts or else their people will die.   363 BHM Ramses I Birth (Age 0) to Rahn (Age 28)   361 BHM Puabi I Birth (Age 0) To Rahn (Age 30)   358 BHM Ramses II Birth (Age 0) to Rahn (Age 33)   351 BHM Ramses I Death (Age 12) performed by Rahn (Age 40)   349 BHM Puabi I Death (Age 12) performed by Rahn (Age 42)   346 BHM Ramses II Death (Age 12) performed by Rahn (Age 45)   306 BHM Ramses III Birth (Age 0) to Rahn (Age 85)   294 BHM Rahn Death (Age slowed 97)

The Oligarch brought in new warriors who understood the importance of keeping the balance of the cultural and the economic. His own guard, trained members of the new honourable Sandcloaks who would now keep all of Calua safe. A member of the known family of honour, the House of Kraal, is brought on as the new Medjay, leader of the tombguard.
