Kingfishers
Thousands of years ago the Kingfisher faction was formed to help the Six kill dragons. Before they were Kings, the greatest, yet still expendable warriors of the human race were tasked by their overlords to hunt the awakened dragons with the help of the toolmaker Dhara. and the Kingfishers became very good at their job.
Mostly made up of elves, the Kingfishers knew the dragons represented pure chaos, when the gods felt the world needed to be put in check, Synapsid would rain down his large beasts to raze the world below.
A doctrine was put in place by the head of the Roost. The only way to find peace is through complete control. They agree with the methods of the overlord Onyx elves of old.
Civilization can only be saved if they are completely without free will.
The world is out of balance and that's why so many people are making power moves. Synapsid's absence is an important factor in the struggles of the world. The Kingfishers know they can capitalize on the absence of the god of order and chaos.
Incinerin spoke to the Synapse for years and planned his takeover awaiting the day for something to cause the dragons to awaken. When he believed the balance was about to be broken, he began planning to ambush this event to gain complete control. This is when he started recruiting just before the awakening and how he already knew to look for Kenji to learn how to corrupt the control of Synapsid.
The Kingfishers are using the corrupting symbol of Vlox to effectively manipulate the gods themselves to further their own means. Although anyone who comes to use Vlox's unique power to alter the intentions of other gods must reveal their plans to the sly demon God. Vlox only helps further the plans that will help himself
Incinerin used this knowledge to skew the purpose of Synapsid's symbol, seeking the ability of controlling the dragons. More than that, the Pit had become a vile place but the god of Order being manipulated caused the protections placed on the Pit by Merkayne and Synapsid to be weakened. This allowed Thormund's attack to fully destroy the Seal. Incinerin toying with Synapsid (potentially because of the influence of Vlox) is the reason the Harrowers are able to hunt anyone, not just people with the Merkaynian Brand.
At the end of the 3rd Era, a decade before the Great Rebellion, the Onyx Elves began to be attacked by dragons. The oppressive elves sent out specially picked human warriors as well as some elves to slay the dragons. As they fought and mastered killing the beasts, they recorded their techniques onto scrolls.
During the 10 year dragon slaying mission, the 6 human leaders, their many followers and the lesser elemental elves with them were attacked by a dragon after finding a cache of black diamond stones. This treasure was on a cliffside path in the Firefang Jags. The attack destroyed parts of the path and caused the faction of elves, some humans and the scroll keepers to Tumble into the rocks below. The only reason we have this information is because a single monk left years ago and told the story to the only man who would believe the story of a hidden city in the mountains. Ralf of the Gyaron Gazette reported that over the last 700 years the survivors of the fall have been training beneath the Edge, a sacrificial pit of the Fire elves of Emberstreak. These survivors formed a monastery who trained themselves for the day when the dragons would rise again. They would reach out to the people and grow their numbers so they can kill the large monsters.

Jericho sells Moasis the prophet to this emerging group. The prophet tells of a moment in the past where Oliver Knackle was killed by Arygos. Incinerin is the leader, a charismatic fire elf who is expert at slaying beasts. He rides a phoenix. Christopher is a general of the Kingfishers. His nickname is the Red Heron and rides at Manticore. His ranger skills make him adept at hunting these beasts and that allows him to raise up the ranks.
All the members are people who have been hurt by the resurgence of these beasts. Something in the world has caused them to leave their caves and hiding places. Dragons are ancient agents of justice. Once the Pit was unsealed they returned to action. During the Last Battle of Pacura, the battle seemed lost as the Fleet overpowered the Royal Navy. In the final hours of the battle, as all seemed lost, an ancient sea dragon rose from the depths and attacked the S.S Tempest. Many leapt from the ship to escape the beast. In this moment, Maximus boarded and took the Tempest as his own. Maximus steered alongside the ocean dragon and decimated the Fleet. During the confusion Quinn broke free of Thormund and steered his father's ship into a large rock.
Reintroduce dragons. They are bad omens of times to come. They live in their lairs but have recently begun killing outside their domains. An ancient cult reemerges that are bent on killing all dragons. Reavers killing dragons. Many races . Dragons are timeless agents of Synapsid. They are timeless and immortal.
Find a group of soldiers adorned in crimson red and wearing metal plague doctors masks. Bedlam immediately hides arygos and herself.
They ended at a long tunnel of trees that seems important. As a crimson army marched out of the burning grove. 80ish slayers marched past the hidden party. Bedlam covered arygos with a blanket for extra protection. The ground outside was littered with dragon corpses The leader of them rode a displacer beast (bandersnatch) and carried an ornate spear wrapped in vines.

Encounter the Fenris Tribe, led by the powerful Aero. The wolves are willing to help break into the encampment. Freed the wolves of Greywyn to gather allies to fight Barren Blackcherry. His black smoking factory is not far within the forest the trees were cleared to make way for their building of war machines. Provides horses to get to the Aerie faster. Must detour and go through the village of Greywyn. See that the werewolves are being forced to work the mines to make weapons for the Kingfishers.
