The Race to Cure Gothicca

Components

Goals

While everyone in the party has separate goals & motivations for them, the quest to cure Gothicca of her mysterious illness unites them all. After some research at Queen Medusa's library, Nolya claimed "Draek's Anatomy", a medical journey written by Salvara Draek detailing several Forest Dragon illneses, among other things. Through this, she discovered that Gothicca is most likely suffering from Ouima's Rot, a magical disease created by Ouima the Forest Giant goddess. While the goddess herself has been long dead since the Gigadragonomy, and the disease believed to be long-since eradicated thanks to Salvara's efforts, someone appears to have tainted Gothicca's water supply with a sample of this bioweapon. Salvara's journal estimates that the disease will fully corrupt and kill an Ancient Forest Dragon up to 5 months after initial infection (6 for especially powerful dragons).
Despite the peril, Salvara created a cure to eradicate the disease in the past. While this cure is no longer produced, the journal provides a craftable recipe using the following ingredients:

1. A vial of blood of a Reaper Dragon. The entire blood supply of a Reaper Dragonborn will also suffice
2. A sample of Forest Giant organic material (blood, bones, etc.)
3. An ingot of draconic gold from the mines of Vas Dregas
4. Forge the above ingredients into a potion with the heat of a volcano from Maku's Landing

So far, the gang has collected the following ingredients from the following places:

1. Blood supply of a Reaper Dragonborn (stored in two large ceramic jars in the Bonemobile)

Potential quest options for gaining the rest:

1. Exploration of a ruined Forest Giant settlement, a 90 mile journey from Islador. Gang would be able to make the trek in 4 days at a normal pace (3 days at a fast pace), and could possibly acquire some Forest Giant remains here.
2. Debauchery at Vas Dregas, winning enough draconic gold for the recipe
3. Venture into an active volcano at Maku's Landing

Stakes

If the party doesn't make it back to Gothicca in time (5-6 months from initial infection), she will be corrupted and possibly die. 
A Sun Elf revenge organization plans to attack the village once Gothicca is gone.
