B&T Chapter 10: What Happens in Dregas

General Summary

While the party travels for a week to Vas Dregas, the group sets up for their downtime activities:

1. Draconius is researching Blood Magic
2. Sharpjaw is setting up a fletching station
3. Balcazar is brewing Fool's Gold
4. Nolya is studying medicine & poison
5. Master Obu is studying the History of Vulsemar book
6. Fork is studying the bottom of his flask, the rum in particular

On the next landing, the following things occur

• Draconius goes on a training montage with Stonius
• Sharpjaw crafts a couple regular arrows, gains materials for 10 more
• Balcazar is making progress
• Nolya finds 4 herbs of potionable quality, delivers them to Balcazar

Once in the air:

• Balcazar finishes the Fool's Gold, gaining 10 pieces
• Sharpjaw finishes his batch: 4 explosive arrows & 6 regular arrows, complete with Draconic Essence bump. Gathers enough ingredients for 10 more explosive arrows
• Nolya find the knowledge to make healing stuff
• Draconius is learning Blood Magic
• Master Obu is still reading about history; learns about the history of Vas Dregas, a city built by gold-mining gamblers. Learns about the Triple Flips, a gang of debt collectors & loan sharks
• Nolya makes 2 Potions of Healing
• Sharpjaw crafts 5 explosive & 5 poison arrows
• Balcazar trains with Stonius on axe play, gaining 30 days of training with Stonius

They travel for a week to get to Vas Dregas, but first come across a mountain barrier. Fork is drinking ale primarily now. Him & Nolya see a small dragon (wyvern) while Balcazar & Obu see dinosaurs. They let nature take its course as the wyvern joins
They arrive in Vas Dregas the next afternoon, shitload of dinosaurs
Vulsemar's Palace is the name of the place; told by a criminal enforcer for the Triple Flips (on the back of a T-Rex)
They get to the casino teller for their chips:

• Master Obu & Sharpjaw get 1,000 gp
• Fork Balcazar Nolya & Draconius get 500 gp

Master Obu, Fork, Draconius & Balcazar, while Nolya & Sharpjaw head to the clothing store. Fork feels really Lucky (Halfling trait). Nolya pays 500 gp for a great dress (has magical lightning properties, allows for redirection of energy attacks based on a saving throw against the attack roll or spellcaster's saving throw DC)
