B&T Chapter 7: Behold the Dragoknights

General Summary

Opening

• Balcazar & Fork went back to the weapons shop
• Balcazar paid 400 gp (sexual discount of 20%) for Wooden Armor that functions as Chain Mail (AC 15), but it won't impact movement for spells
• Fork trades Snake Liquor & monk liquor for a mystical service to his quarterstaff. Fork can now get different attack/damage bonuses from different types of drinks
• Balcazar & Sharpjaw return to Helgra. Balcazar buys a q of Swamp Diesel for 110 gp and fucks Helgra (convinced her that he was her dead husband with Disguise Self as an Invocation) for drugs (LSD & PCP equivalents)
• Everyone chills at the bar: Balcazar & Sharpjaw smoke Swamp Diesel, Fork is drinking various alcohols, Nolya diagnsoses Balcazar as clean, Draconius smokes Swamp Diesel & shows off the Ass Pounder to Balcazar
• A few hours roll by and Stonius tells them its time. He leads them to the woods underneath the district and finds a grassy cave.

Combat

Battle Prep

• Draconius uses Chromatic Warding to make himself immune to poison. Also uses Fiendish Vigor to add 7 Temporary HP to himself, then casts Summon Greater Demon to summon a Dybbuk
• Sharpjaw summons Lamarva with Fire as the draconic essence & casts Summon Beast for a Land bear (AC 12, HP 30)
• Nolya call Flurry (the drake) to her side, she comes happily. Nolya pulls out her longbow
• Balcazar puts on his Woodly Chain Mail and preps his weapons & invocations
• Fork drank ale, whiskey, & absinthe, gains the spirit of a true woodsman and gains one Barbarian feature
• Master Obu is good
• Sharpjaw casts Hunter's Mark on the Frost Dragonborn

Round 1

• Draconius: Taps Fork with the Silly Stick and gives him the mentality of a ravenous wolf. Dybbuk casts Dimension Door to appear next to the Infernal Dragonborn and smack with a tendril for 15 necrotic damage, then gently caresses his prey as he teleports back to Draconius
• Nolya: Casts Polymorph on the Reaper Dragonborn, turns it into a frog. Guard Drake does 14 total of damage to Forest Dragonborn
• Sharpjaw: Longbows the Frost Dragonborn with an explosive arrow, misses and does 3 damage to the Forest Dragonborn, but the Frost & Infernals avoid it. Shoots again but crit fails, Nolya takes 2 damage. Lamarva & the Land Bear do 12 damage to Frost Boy
• Master Obu: Casts Guiding Bolt as a 2nd level spell for 22 radiant damage on Frost Boy
• Fork: Growls at Draconius (fails at intimidating and goes submissive). Runs over and bites the Storm Boy (took 7 damage after 3 strikes) & 12 with Flurry of Blows
• Balcazar: Shoots Madrakor's Gauntlet at the frog (Reaper Dragonborn). Casts Eldritch Blast on Reaper & Forest, doing 13 & 7 to each
• DragoKnights: Frosty did 12 damage to Sharpjaw & none to Master Obu. Storm Dragonborn does 20 to Fork. Reaper does 9 damage but gets Hellish Rebuked for 37 fire damage, killing her. Infernal roasts Draconius & Master for 11 HP, Dybbuk takes 5, Frost Dragonborn takes 11

Round 2

• Draconius: Dimension Doors (dybbuk) and uses Ass Pounder on Infernal for 15 bludgeoning (2 with green flame blade on frosty) and 14 piercing damage, then whacks it off for 17 damage. Has dybbuk posses Reaper Dragonborn corpse
• Nolya: Lightnings the Forest Dragon for 13 lightning damage, then Thorn Whips for 8 damage. Flurry kills her.
• Sharpjaw: Fires 2 poison arrows at frosty for 15 damage. Uses Vine Whip for 3, Hunter's Mark for 5 damage. Animals attack Stormy for 13 damage
• Master Obu: Does 7 damage and 8 damage, shattering Frosty
• Fork: 5 damage, 6 damage, 7 damage = 18 damage to Stormy. Disengages and runs over to Sharpjaw.
• Balcazar:kills Infernals
• Stormy: 19 damage to Balcazar

Round 3

• Draconius: dybbuk dragonborn corpse bites Stormy and kills him
• The crowd roars as they stand in victory. Sharpjaw recovers his two poison arrows, noting that they are now regular arrows
• The Adult Green Dragon that watched the battle looks on them with mild interest and respect

• Mage's Bark Mail - functions as Chain Mail without restrictions on magic, though with an AC of 15.
• 1/8th of Swamp Diesel - finest Swamp Diesel the Underbrush has to offer
• Coco Crack (5 doses, PCP equivalent) - an experimental stimulant made from various energy-dense plants in the woods surrounding Islador. For 1 hour, gives the user +10 to movement speed & advantage on Strength, Dexterity & Constitution checks/saving throws (including attacks). They also gain increased confidence, giving them advantage on Charisma checks/saving throws (including attacks), but disadvantage on all Intelligence & Wisdom checks/saving throws. In addition, when the user's allies choose a course of action, the user must roll a d4. If they roll a 3 or 4, they can choose to follow the directive, but if they roll a 1 or 2, their superhuman confidence kicks in and they take part in the most reckless course of action they could take (as determined by the user or the DM)
• L.S. Tree (3 doses, LSD equivalent) - an experimental hallucinagen, made from plant roots with spiritual connection to each plane of the multiverse. For 3 hours, the user has advantage on Wisdom & Intelligence checks/attacks/saving throws, disadavantage on Charisma checks/attacks/saving throws. In addition, the user can use their hallucinating mind to see into other realms of existence. To view various realms at random, the user sacrifices 5 ft of movement that turn, but will see random images and information from the other planes. To choose a specific realm to view, the user rolls a Insight, Arcana, Nature, Religion, or Perception check. Upon success, they project their consciousness into the coordinate-equivalent of their current location on their chosen plane, and can either utilize their regular Actions, Bonus Actions & movement in this chosen plane, or revert back to the mortal plane to do so, sacrificing 5 ft of movement for the latter option.

Fork

• The Buzzkiller - whenever the user drinks a different kind of alcohol, they will acquire special abilities. For example, drinking Ale or Whiskey will give the user access to one Barbarian class feature of their choice for 1 hour (the level prerequisite for the trait cannot exceed the player's current level). Other classes, dependent on the drinks consumed, will be revealed as gameplay resumes, but the user can drink several beverages to learn their effects, honing in on a single one.

• 2 regular arrows (recovered from battlefield, formerly poison arrows)
