Erebus - The Great Shadow
Erebus is the God of Darkness, Primal Fear and they are the Lord of the Shadowfell. They are a quiet and morbid deity, preferring solitude to the company of others.
While not a malevolent deity, Erebus obscures the universe in darkness, hiding dangers and concealing stalking hunters. This makes Erebus the antithesis of warmth and light, the comforts of mortal life, leading to them being feared. Because of this Erebus is usually only referred to by epithets, such as “the Great Shadow” as to avoid invoking them and drawing their attention.
Erebus is one of the Primordial deities, one of the first beings in existence. Erebus is the embodiment of darkness and the personification of shadows and the Shadowfell.
Erebus is the primary consort of Nyx, who they share many children with, many of whom work in service to the Underworld.
Erebus is not worshipped outside of specific cults, like the Shadar-kai of the Shadowfell. Though some may beseech Erebus if they wish to remain hidden.
