The Erinyes - Kindly Ones

The Erinyes, sometimes called the Furies, are personifications of punishment and the elite agents of Hades. The Erinyes are a group of three bird-like women, Alecto, Tisiphone and Megaera. They are cruel and vicious entities who take pleasure in the torture of mortal souls.
The Erinyes are one of the caretakers of the Underworld, assisting Hades and Persephone in the management of the Lands of the Dead. They are mainly responsible for punishing those who would commit crimes against the natural order or for crimes against the gods.
The Erinyes are usually found in the Fields of Punishment, torturing the damned, but they can also be found hunting down heretical criminals, either inflicting them with generational madness, disease or in serious matters, dragging them down to the Underworld to await judgement.
The Erinyes are also closely associated with their sister Nemesis, the Goddess of Revenge as they also share a desire for vengeance and retribution.
Like Chthonic Deities, due to the Erinyes’ association with the Underworld and death, they are rarely referred to by name, as it is believed to call their attention. Therefore they are almost always referred to by epithets, such as “The Kindly Ones”.

Apperance:

The Erinyes are exclusively depicted as feminine, commonly as bird-like crones, with feathered wings that they use as cloaks and talons for hands and feet. They are usually armed with long fiery whips.
The Erinyes are commonly associated with vultures or harpies, but they sometimes take on a more leathery appearance with bat-like wings instead of feathered ones.
